Thanks to Mika Ahola for allowing us to show this video on our channel. The copyright remains with Mika Ahola. The largely intact underwater world around Apo Island offers plenty. Interesting underwater landscapes with sea fans, soft corals and feather stars. Colourful nudibranchs, moray eels, frogfish, seahorses, clownfish and sea snakes are to be seen here too. The reefs are in intact condition with no bleaching or signs of dynamite fishing which has stopped some time ago and reefs recovered very well. Hydrophiinae, commonly known as sea snakes, are venomous elapid snakes inhabiting in marine environments for most of their lives. Except for the genus Laticauda, sea snakes are adapted to fully aquatic life and are unable to move on land. They are found in warm coastal waters from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific. Sea snakes have an eel-like appearance, having paddle-like tails. Many have laterally compressed bodies as well. They do not gills like fish and must surface regularly to breathe. The majority of adult hydrophiinae species grow between 120-150 around 4 to 5 feet with the largest, Hydrophis spiralis, reaching a maximum of 3m. We got to head to the beach and relax my last weekend before heading off to Korea. I went snorkeling for my first time and saw Nemo, Crush, Dory, Gill, Bloat, Bubbles, a sea snake, and so much more. The boat ride on the Bonka was crazy fun coming back, and the sun was so hot. It was a sheer weekend relaxing time before the craziness of heading to Korea.
