Mt Everest Base Camp Trek 2017
After spending a couple of days in KATHMANDU, Dad and I took a 45min flight and flew to LUKLA to start our epic trek to Everest Base Camp. One of the most dangerous flights in the world! I'm a total trekking rookie but Mt Everest had always interested me and this was a way I could get really close and personal. Not only was I a rookie trekker but I had never been at altitude by foot and like everything in my life, I wanted to do it naturally. My guide told me 99% of people take a prescribed drug called Diamox. This was going to be interesting. My Dad is 70 in a couple of months. I felt like it was now or never. Massive shout out and BIG thanks to - Himalayan Scenery Trek & Expedition straight out of Kathmandu, Nepal. BIG Thanks to our awesome guides Shiba & Dussi. And Thanks a million to the whole UK and Aussie crew who trekked their way to Base Camp with us. Gary, Caroline, Sam, Mel, Dave, Clare, Alice and of course my Dad. This is a great video to watch if you are thinking of trekking to EBC during April/May as you can see what gear we are all wearing as we move through each day. We had a low of -13 degrees celsius. Thanks and Enjoy!

Mount Everest : Into the Death Zone - the fifth estate
It was May 19, 2012 and a young and determined Canadian was proudly standing on top of the world after an agonizingly slow climb up Mount Everest. Shriya Shah-Klorfine had reached the summit. But in the hours that followed, things would go dreadfully wrong and she would perish, like hundreds before her, high up in Everest's "Death Zone." Since Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay's first ascent of Everest almost 60 years ago, it has been an irresistible fascination for aspiring mountaineers. Hundreds make the attempt every year, and many don't make it. This year was no exception as hundreds made their way to the summit even as worrying signs pointed to trouble. Among them was Shriya Shah-Klorfine, the cheerful and energetic Torontonian. She had never climbed a mountain before, and despite warnings from her friends, husband, and seasoned Everest sherpas, she was climbing the world's highest peak, determined to succeed. In this 2012 documentary, Bob McKeown travels to Nepal and pieces together what happened with exclusive never-before-seen video of Shah-Klorfine's final hours on Everest. the fifth estate uncovers startling information about her deadly climb into the icy oxygen-thin expanse of Everest known as the Death Zone. --- Subscribe for more videos from the fifth estate : http://bit.ly/25W8cpn Connect with the fifth estate online : Website : http://bit.ly/1d0FBxq Facebook : http://bit.ly/1UO9B8S Twitter : http://bit.ly/237VM8P Instagram : http://bit.ly/25W8SLs About the fifth estate : For four decades the fifth estate has been Canada's premier investigative documentary program. Everest Flight in 2 Minutes
The flight from Kathmandu, along the mighty Himalayas, to the Everest (or Mahalangur) Range. Passing within eight kilometres of the world's tallest mountain, the 35-seater propeller plane offered spectacular views of icy mountaintops, perilously steep rock faces, and plunging snowy valleys. A breathtaking experience indeed,. Country: Nepal Region: Mahalangur Length: 90 Minutes Route: Kathmandu - Mahalangur Himal - Kathmandu Maximum Altitude: 7,000m Season: Winter Company: Yeti Airlines Music: "The Ocean" by Splitter EDIT: Peak displayed as "Kongde Ri" is in fact Likhu Chuli (6,719m). EDIT 2: For the pedantic few, Everest is not the "tallest mountain" in the world, if you consider tallest to mean above its surrounds. That would probably be Kilimanjaro, or Denali, or maybe Nanga Parbat. It's the "highest," if you will. This being said, it is not incorrect to say "tallest" because how tall something is depends on where you're measuring from. If measuring from sea level, it is the tallest.

The Quest For Everest: Ep 3 - Everest Base Camp Trek, Nepal
My flatmate Chris and I returned to Nepal to attempt the Everest Base Camp Trek in this travel documentary. The 12 day trek is a round trip of 124km, reaching an altitude of 5,545 metres or 18,192 feet. The problem however is that 18 months beforehand, we tried to reach the Tibetan Everest Base Camp only for Chris to be hospitalised for 3 nights with severe altitude sickness. After failing to reach Everest on that trip we returned to Nepal to complete our Quest. This is the epic finale to our Quest For Everest trilogy featuring a brand new score created by Jack Nicholson. Climb Mt. Everest in 3D.
Climb Mt. Everest in 3D. Mount Everest climbing route in 3D. Climb Mt. Everest in 3D. Mount Everest, also known in Nepal as Sagarmāthā and in Tibet as Chomolungma, is Earth's highest mountain. It is located in the Mahalangur mountain range in Nepal and Tibet. Its peak is 8,848 metres (29,029 ft) above sea level. The international border between China (Tibet Autonomous Region) and Nepal runs across Everest's precise summit point. Its massif includes neighbouring peaks Lhotse, 8,516 m (27,940 ft); Nuptse, 7,855 m (25,771 ft) and Changtse, 7,580 m (24,870 ft). In 1856, the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India established the first published height of Everest, then known as Peak XV, at 8,840 m (29,002 ft). The current official height of 8,848 m (29,029 ft) as recognised by China and Nepal was established by a 1955 Indian survey and subsequently confirmed by a Chinese survey in 1975. In 1865, Everest was given its official English name by the Royal Geographical Society upon a recommendation by Andrew Waugh, the British Surveyor General of India. As there appeared to be several different local names, Waugh chose to name the mountain after his predecessor in the post, Sir George Everest, despite George Everest's objections. The Khumbu Icefall is an icefall located at the head of the Khumbu Glacier and the foot of the Western Cwm, which lies at an altitude of 5,486 metres (17,999 ft) on the Nepali slopes of Mount Everest, not far above Base Camp and southwest of the summit. The icefall is considered one of the most dangerous stages of the South Col route to Everest's summit. The Khumbu glacier that forms the icefall moves at such speed that large crevasses open with little warning, and the large towers of ice (called seracs) found at the icefall have been known to collapse suddenly. Huge blocks of ice tumble down the glacier from time to time, their size ranging from that of cars to large houses. It is estimated that the glacier advances 0.9 to 1.2 m (3 to 4 ft) down the mountain every day. How many people have died on Mount Everest? Amazing video from top of Mount Everest: Anand Kumar on peak
Amazing self video with breathtaking views taken by S. Anand Kumar from top of the world- summit of Mount Everest. Anand Kumar of India is now the first Dalit to reach the summit- Mt. Everest, a dream for all adventure seekers around the world. At 7.30 in the morning of 25th May 2014, just one hour after her teammate Malavath Poorna, who has by then already become the youngest woman in the world to reach the top of the world, Anand Kumar too peaked. Anand Kumar is also just 16 years old and a eleventh class student at Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Educational Institutions Society's school. Born of a very poor family, Anand's father was a teacher in a private school, but is now working as a cycle mechanic to repay the loan he has taken from the shop owner to construct a pucca house at his dwelling. Just few years back, half of his family members were taking turns to sleep as his house was leaking in monsoon rains. Anand vowed to reach new heights that day and he has done that against all odds. Similar to Poorna, Anand too achieved the feat in just nine months time from being selected for a rock climbing camp near Hyderabad (in September 2013) to reach to the top of the world. Unimaginable!!

TRIP: Trek To Mount Everest Base Camp (Part 1of3)
Our 100th Video!!! Just to try something new I thought I'd talk about my trip to Mount Everest Base Camp. Hopefully, this little hodgepodge of pictures, gear overview and travel advice will help motivate you to to get out there and see it for yourself. NOTICE: - Please understand that the photos in this presentation may not necessarily correspond to what I'm saying in the audio track. - This video is based on personal experiences and review of my old journal entries. If you want to attempt a similar journey I STRONGLY recommend you do your own research in preparation for your trip. NOTES: - You need a visa to stay in Nepal. These can be purchased when you arrive in Kathmandu airport. It'll cost you $50-60US. Bring cash as there are no machines available. - When you arrive you'll be assailed by a crowd of taxi drivers who want to take you to their hotel (imagine a movie star being jumped by paparazzi and you'll get the idea). Make sure you have a reservation at a place before you arrive to avoid this hassle. Kathmandu Guest House is the most well known place and is easy to get to. - Spend a day looking at different guide companies and make sure to have a lot of questions prepared beforehand in order to make an informed decision. A two week package with airfare to/from Lukla, guide, room, board, and gear rental ran me about $800US. - Pack Light.Dress in layers. Stick to synthetics since they dry faster. - Enjoy your last shower before you head off on the trek. Clean water becomes more precious the higher you go up. Be prepared to be dirty for 2 weeks. - You can trek from Kathmandu to Lukla. This will add two weeks to your trek time but will better prepare you for the high altitude. - Alternatively you can fly straight to Lukla. It's a faster option but the altitude will hit you harder. - Trek High, Sleep Low. - Go at a slow and steady pace. Take breaks and don't push yourself too hard. - Bring playing cards. Trust me. - It wouldn't hurt to know how to play a few songs on the guitar either. - Don't forget to take pictures. - This is an overview of a trip to Base Camp only. Summiting Everest requires a level of skill and experience that far exceeds my own. That and you also need a license from the Government of Nepal that costs $60,000-80,000US per expedition team. - If you EVER want to complain about how tired you are, take a look at what the porters are carrying. My gear for this trip: - Eagle Creek Guide Bag - Contact Lenses, Solution, and glasses - 2 pair socks - 2 pair underwear - 2 T-shirts - Thermal Underwear - Down Jacket - Hiking Boots - Gloves - Buff Headwear - Sunglasses - Casio Watch - Money Belt with passport, cash, and documents - Iodine Tablets and Tang drink mix - Canon A430 Digital Camera with extra AA Batteries - Toothbrush, Paste, Floss - Pocket Knife - Journal and Pen - Sleeping Bag - Inova Microlight - Nalgene Water Bottle - Sun Screen and Lip Balm Trip Itinerary (by day): 1. Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. Leave unnecessary gear in Lukla. Trek to Pakding. 2. Trek to Namche Bazaar. Purchase gear if necessary. 3. Trek to Tengboche. 4. Trek to Periche. 5. Rest Day in Periche (still trek out in afternoon to help acclimate to altitude). 6. Trek to Dugla. 7. Trek to Lobuje. 8. Trek to Gorak Shep and leave gear there. Trek to Mount Everest Base Camp and return to Gorak Shep. 9. Trek up to Kala Patar and return to Gorak Shep to pick up gear. Trek to Periche. 10. Trek back to Namche. 11. Trek back to Lukla (Shower!!!). 12. Flight Back to Kathmandu. This video shot with a Canon G9 on loan. Travel photos were taken by myself with a Canon A430. Editing done with Windows Movie Maker.

[VLOG] 12 Days Solo Trekking to Everest Base Camp
[Video with English subtitle] I trekked on Himalaya again in April 2017. And this time, I choose Everest Base Camp Classic Route. It was an amazing experience, if I have to compare with my last trekking in Annapurna region last year. The adventure was started and ended by fly to/from the most dangerous airport in the world, in Lukla. And then followed by the most exhausted but exciting trekking the days after. For complete story, please check this video out. And if you're planning the same trekking, this video might be your reference. ===== WEBSITE BARTZAP.COM: http://bartzap.com Indonesian Travel Blogger MEDIA SOSIAL BARTZAP.COM Fanspage: http://www.facebook.com/bartzap Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/bartian Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/bartzap Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/bartzap Thanks for watching this video. The best tour in Nepal | Everest Helicopter Tour in 2K
There are different Himalayan routes that you can take Helicopter tour like Everest Helicopter tour, Langtang Helicopter tour or Annapurna Helicopter tour to witness the vastness of the Himalayas of Nepal. Sights of the glistering snow peaks, beautiful green valleys, breathtaking view of barren land always stands out for the lifetime. One of the best available options to get so close to the towering peaks of the Himalayas, almost to the touching distance, is definitely the Helicopter tour. This video is filmed over Everest Region and shows an up close look at Mount Everest. To find out more about helicopter tours in Mt. Everest check out http://www.mountainramadventures.com/nepal/day-tours/everest-helicopter-tour.html Here’s the entire trip: We took off from airport leaving Kathmandu behind the same route that Sir Edmond Hilary and Tenjin Norge took to summit Mount Everest for the first time. Passing many hills, seeing many other mountain vides, looking at Jiri (Swtizerland of Nepal). And soon we passed Lamjura (3500m) we were able to witness high Himalayas of Everest region. Flying over the same valley of Lukla, we were (we were excited to see even bigger and higher mountains like Summit peak, Thamserkhu and more. ) making our eyes even bigger to stair high mountains like summit peak, thamserkhu and many more. And suddenly, we were looking at Namche with its beautiful surrounding. Mt. Kwange and many more were taking Namche in their lap. We were landing at Syngbuche for fueling but the Mt. Everest was already gazing at us. After stopping few minutes, we flew over Khumde and Khumjung village towards Mt. Everest. Oh a minute later we were lucky to connect out eyesight with Mt. Choyu (8188m) with its gigantic face. The geographical situatedness of Everest region is itself amazing. It is located in the region ranging from Kanchangungha to Langtang. Cholaste 6440m. Look at that O MY GOODNESS ! Lobuche peak 6119m, now lobuche village 4900m along with lobuche glacier and the top. Flying over Khumbu glacier, towards Everest Base Camp and looking at Pumori mountain range is of course unforgettable, nothing beats it. After visiting almost to the camp two of Everest climb, we turned back towards Kalapather with the view of Khumbu Icefall. By the way, we had a choice either land at Everest Base Camp (5365m) or Kalapathar (5400m), we chose Kalapathar for better view. Standing at Kalapathar with 51 % oxygen level was not easy so we landed at Lakapathar for only few minutes. Ok after having panoramic view of Everest and more, we turned back towards Syangbuche now. One of the best available options to get so close to the towering peaks of the Himalayas, almost to the touching distance, is definitely the Helicopter tour. Its best for those who have limited time but its great for everyone else if you look for Luxurious and at the same time thrilling experience. Most importantly, there are different Himalayan routes that you can take Helicopter tour like Everest Helicopter tour, Langtang Helicopter tour or Annapurna Helicopter tour to witness the vastness of the Himalayas of Nepal. Sights of the glistering snow peaks, beautiful green valleys, breathtaking view of barren land always stands out for the lifetime. Anyways, our company Mountain Ram Adventures offers Helicopter tours to any of these areas as per the requirements of the clients. We offer individual tour, group tour, family tour etc. Ok now we are landing at Syangbuche. We will be taking a bit of time here to enjoy our breakfast with the view of Mt. Everest along with surrounding Himalayan peaks. Oh its time to go back, but we still have one more hour to enjoy helicopter ride. Look at the view of Dudhkoshi river and villages like Monju, Phakding and Lukla and beautiful farming tares. Green hills, villages still overwhelm you before arriving in Kathmandu.
