Churchill's Secret Son (Winston Churchill Documentary) | Timeline
Check out our new website for more incredible history documentaries: HD and ad-free. http://bit.ly/2O6zUsK Meet the man who inspired the character of Big Brother in George Orwell’s “1984”; the man who Churchill’s family would have liked history to bury; the man so secretive, he ordered to burn all his official records upon his death. What was he hiding? This is a journey through the unforgettable, unbelievable and breath-taking life of Brendan Bracken. Bracker was one of Churchill’s closest advisors and friends, a relationship that particularly bothered Churchill’s wife Clementine. However, Bracken was devoted to Churchill and was instrumental in the most pivotal point of WWII – Churchill’s appointment as Prime Minister. Bracken was newspaper tycoon, Member of Parliament, Wartime minister, Peer of the realm, First Lord of the Admiralty, the first spin doctor, yet a compulsive liar, unmarried and secretive – and a “complete fantasist”. This film tells the extraordinary story of a truly self-made man who helped to shaped some of the most important events of the 20th century. Content licensed from TVF International. The link between Putin and Illuminati - "Secret World Governance" lecture
Russian General and political figure, Konstantin Petrov was a doctor of technical sciences and a member of the NGO “International Informatization Academy.". He was fired from the Russian Armed forces in the 2000s for unknown reasons. Then, he became one of the first scholars to tour Russia as a lecturer, with a special set of talks titled “Secret World Governance” – in which he told all of that, which is today considered “conspiracy”, including the programme for the “Golden Billion” (something along the lines of eugenics that seeks to preserve the wealthy population of the world.) . In this outtake, General Petrov speaks of the general structure of world governance by the elite. At that – he makes it clear, that current Russian president Putin never entered the equation as any kind of competition. However, having come from a Soviet intelligence background, he was able to play by the rules just long enough, to establish his own. Petrov mentions the position of current Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu – which could be viewed detrimentally. However, his statement must be evaluated in the context of time, before Shoigu became the Minister of Defense. Petrov died suddenly in 2009 – his lectures are difficult to find on the internet, but they are there, many hours of them. I encourage you to make up your own about this.

How Russia Stole the U.S. Atomic Bomb (The True Story of the Soviet Union's First Nuclear Test)
It was in 1939 that Winston Churchill famously defined Russia as "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.” The Soviet Union’s atom bomb project could certainly be considered a riddle, a mystery, and an enigma, such was its secrecy at the time. Russia had been conducting independent research into radioactive elements as early as 1910, long before it even became the Soviet Union or USSR. By the 1930s Russian scientists had made remarkable efforts towards the advancement of physics research, even with setbacks such as the 1917 October Revolution and civil war of 1922. Scientists tend to be a sharing community. That’s why Russian physicist, Georgy Flyorov, became suspicious in 1942 that the Allied powers were secretly developing an atomic super-weapon when his literature search showed that no one in the West was writing on nuclear fission. And so he wrote an urgent letter to Joseph Stalin pleading with him to start a Soviet atomic program. Notable too is a report dated February 28th, 1945, and written for Lavrentiy Beria, Stalin’s right-hand man and the head of the NKVD, the country’s dreaded secret police. The report was titled “Progress of the Atomic Bomb Abroad” and stated that it was expected the United States would produce an atom bomb by July of that year.

2017 KGB FILES DECLASSIFIED: Did Churchill kill Stalin?
What if everything you think you know about Joseph Stalin isn’t true? Similarly, what if the icon you perceive Winston Churchill to be is a mere illusion of history? Anomalies in the way history is written is nothing new, with the more or less objective truth often published many decades later. In this episode, Mikhail Poltoranin, former Head of the Government Committee on the Declassification of KGB Archives, talks about the way that the US airforce bombed Soviet bases in 1950 – in reaction to Stalin’s power, according to him. They didn't stop until their mission was complete - that is the death of Stalin. It's possible that others within the Soviet system were asked to take responsibility for his death, given the many who took on that claim, as explained by Poltoranin. Joseph Stalin has been attributed many crimes against humanity – the figures are in the hundreds of millions according to some sources. In reality, contemporary Russian historians cannot account for even a fraction of the said deaths he is thought to have ordered. That is not to say that he never did such a thing – the current figure is around 100,000 people over the course of his leadership. In my view, very little about Stalin written in Western (or Russian) literature is true – you could test it now by doing a simple google search for “Stalin quotes”. Not one image that shows up is attributed to a real text. Why might the USSR not have publicised such crucial information earlier? In my opinion - nobody wants to admit defeat. If the MI6 was able to carry this out, this means the intelligence was better equipped or better resourced to have been successful.

Spetsnaz: Inside The Russian SAS - Killing For The Kremlin
Spetsnaz is the Russian for Special Forces. In this series this highly secretive organisation will be laid bare. Since the mid-seventies the unit has seen active service in Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia and the crime-ridden streets of Moscow. The films follows some of the different units on operations in Chechnya, Angola and Moscow, as well as their competitive selection process. This film delves inside the domestic counter-terrorism unit ALPHA GROUP, the KGB's foreign commando force, VYMPEL and the special police commandos, OMON. For the first time, our cameras record how new candidates to Spetsnaz units are put through their paces at Balashikha, the joint KGB/Interior Ministry training centre outside Moscow. We will get to know the men and women who aspire to make the transition from regular soldier / policeman to fully-fledged Spetsnaz. We talk to the officers themselves, Spetsnaz veterans, who have the responsibility of converting these ordinary soldiers into the elite of the Russian security services. We learn how, like, James Bond's 'M', the Spetsnaz have developed a whole array of weapons, communications systems, armour and electronics which are made in their own dedicated factories and sold by an international sales network. For the first time, Spetsnaz men tell their secrets including how the ALPHA GROUP and VYMPEL went through a baptism by fire when they seized the Dor-al-Aman Presidential palace in Afghanistan and how a severed head was used to free Soviet diplomats taken hostage in the Lebanese Civil War. Through exclusive access, we reveal secret operations in Angola, Nicaragua, India, Bosnia, Chechnya and even perhaps, Alaska, where they are said to have practised infiltration operations on US soil.

Reagan, Kennedy & Churchill on Russia
On May 30, 1988 in Moscow, President Ronald Reagan was at the Danilov Monastery. He said, “There is a beautiful passage that I’d just like to read, if I may. It’s from one of this country’s great writers and believers, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, about the faith that is as elemental to this land as the dark and fertile soil. He wrote: “When you travel the byroads of central Russia, you begin to understand the secret of the pacifying Russian countryside. It is in the churches. They lift their bell-towers—graceful, shapely, all different—high over mundane timber and thatch. From villages that are cut off and invisible to each other, they soar to the same heaven…. The evening chimes used to ring out, floating over the villages, fields, and woods, reminding men that they must abandon trivial concerns of this world and give time and thought to eternity.” Why didn’t America follow Reagan’s path and keep her promises? Russia was like the South after Lincoln was shot. Without a strong leader, Russia was open to attack by the “New World Order”. Buchanan further wrote: “When Moscow pulled the Red Army out of Europe, closed its bases in Cuba, dissolved the evil empire, let the Soviet Union break up into 15 states, and sought friendship and alliance with the United States, what did we do? American carpetbaggers colluded with Muscovite Scalawags to loot the Russian nation. Breaking a pledge to Mikhail Gorbachev, we moved our military alliance into Eastern Europe, then onto Russia’s doorstep. Six Warsaw Pact nations and three former republics of the Soviet Union are now NATO members. Bush, Cheney and McCain have pushed to bring Ukraine and Georgia into NATO. This would require the United States to go to war with Russia over Stalin’s birthplace and who has sovereignty over the Crimean Peninsula and Sebastopol, traditional home of Russia’s Black Sea fleet. When did these become U.S. vital interests, justifying war with Russia?" From- "Why the West Fears Putin" https://xlerma.wordpress.com/2010/12/22/why-the-west-fears-putin/

Country after country fell to the onslaught. Just after the decimated British forces were forced out of France at Dunkirk and just weeks prior Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of Soviet Russia, a German Messerschmitt was sighted flying into British airspace over Scotland in the dead of night. Inside the cockpit was none other than Hitler's number man Rudolph Hess. His mission? To take part in an emerging covert plot and coup instigated from the upper echelon of British power to over throw both the British government and remove Churchill. The next step was to appease and make peace with the Germany. This story has all the makings of a master mystery novel full of intrigue and plot twists, except for one thing. It's true. Tom Lipscomb has done impeccable investigation, as always to the highest standards, and has turned this epic into a stunning new play: "LAST MAN IN SPANDAU…. The mystery surrounding Rudolf Hess’s flight, his subsequent murder and suspected SAS involvement." You'll never believe just how close we came to losing the war except for the will of one man: Winston Churchill. Tom has been a CEO in book publishing, where he was responsible for bestsellers by authors as diverse as Agatha Christie, Susan Isaacs, Craig Claiborne, Jack Anderson, and William Safire. The Russian Intervention (1918-1920) | Wars you've never heard of
America really has been at war with Russia. Not in the Cold War sense, but a real shooting war with Allied troops invading the motherland. Don't believe it? Just watch and find out. This war changed everything for US-Soviet relations and is a very real corollary to the Cold War. From 1918-1920, America, Britain, France, Japan, and others came together to intervene in the Russian Civil War. It was caused by the October Revolution and the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. Despite having the ability to destroy fledgling communism, the allies failed in every regard, losing sight of their mission along the way. This is their story. For those who know about the intervention and are wondering why I don't mention the Czech Legion: I was trying to keep this short. They were significant in the very beginning (though normally overstated), but by the time the Allies arrived in Siberia, they had the situation fairly well handled. So in other words, they are not entirely necessary to account for. ------------------------------------------------------------ The soldier quote: Reed, Ernest and Gordon Smith. “Russian and Siberian Interventions.” New York Times: Current History 32, no 1 (Apr 1930): 59-69. The initial goals were to help the Czechoslovak Legion, secure supplies of munitions and armaments in Russian ports, and re-establish the Eastern Front. After winning World War I, the Allies militarily backed the anti-Bolshevik White forces in Russia. Allied efforts were hampered by divided objectives, war-weariness after they just finished greater conflict, and a lack of domestic support. These factors, together with the evacuation of the Czechoslovak Legion, compelled the Allies to withdraw from North Russia and Siberia in 1920, though Japanese forces occupied parts of Siberia until 1922 and the northern half of Sakhalin until 1925.[3] ------------------------------------------------------------ Hashtags: #history #russia #USA #USSR #RussianIntervention #RussianCivilWar #Siberia

CIA vs KGB: Battleground Berlin (Cold War Documentary) | Timeline
For 50 years, Berlin was the symbol of the Cold War. The city at the heart of the intelligence war between the US and the Soviet bloc. Thousands of KGB or CIA, agents observed each other, cogs in the biggest information war in history. But the war between the secret services was one dimension of a much larger conflict. A confrontation that almost boiled over just under the surface of the cold war. Economic pressures, secret diplomacy and espionage were the hallmarks of this hidden war that never turn into armed conflict. An underground war between two institutions, without the knowledge of official diplomacy. We hear from former CIA and KGB agents and discover the hidden face of the cold war. Warlords: Churchill vs Roosevelt (WW2 Leaders Documentary) | Timeline
Check out our new website for more incredible history documentaries: HD and ad-free. http://bit.ly/2O6zUsK An examination of the mental battles waged between 20th-century leaders Winston Churchill and Franklin D Roosevelt during the first two years of their relationship. A duel of false promises, evasion and delusion ensued, which was far removed from the more familiar image of friendship and loyalty. World War II was not only a military conflict. It was also a series of private psychological battles waged by the four great leaders: Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. In these mental duels, the 'warlords' lied, schemed, charmed, flattered and cheated to win. Content licensed from Digital Rights Group (DRG). The Intensely Personal Story of Winston Churchill's Profound Connection to America (2005)
Sir Martin Gilbert, CBE, FRSL (25 October 1936 – 3 February 2015) was a British historian and honorary Fellow of Merton College, University of Oxford. He was the author of eighty-eight books, including works on Winston Churchill, the 20th century, and Jewish history. He was a member of the Chilcot Inquiry into the UK's role in the Iraq War. Gilbert was born in London to Peter and Miriam Gilbert;[2] all four of his grandparents had been born in Tsarist Russia.[3] Nine months after the outbreak of the Second World War, he was evacuated to Canada as part of the British efforts to safeguard children. Vivid memories of the transatlantic crossing from Liverpool to Quebec sparked his curiosity about the war in later years.[1] After the war he attended Highgate School, where he was taught history by the Balkan expert Alan Palmer, and politics by T N Fox,[3] and then completed two years of National Service in the Intelligence Corps before going on to study at Magdalen College, Oxford, graduating in 1960 with a first-class BA in modern history.[2] One of his tutors at Oxford was A.J.P. Taylor. After his graduation, Gilbert undertook postgraduate research at St Antony's College, Oxford. After two years of postgraduate work, Gilbert was approached by Randolph Churchill to assist his work on a biography of his father, Sir Winston Churchill. That same year, 1962, Gilbert was made a Fellow of Merton College, Oxford, and he spent the next few years combining his own research projects in Oxford with being part of Randolph's research team in Suffolk, who were working on the first two volumes of the Churchill biography. When Randolph died in 1968, Gilbert was commissioned to take over the task, completing the remaining six main volumes of the biography.[4] Gilbert spent the next 20 years on the Churchill project, publishing a number of other books throughout the time. Each main volume of the biography is accompanied by two or three volumes of documents, and so the biography currently runs to 26 volumes (over 25,000 pages), with another 7 document volumes still planned. Michael Foot, reviewing a volume of Gilbert's biography of Churchill in the New Statesman in 1971, praised his meticulous scholarship and wrote: "Whoever made the decision to make Martin Gilbert Churchill's biographer deserves a vote of thanks from the nation. Nothing less would suffice." In the 1960s, Gilbert compiled some historical atlases. His other major works include a definitive single-volume history on the Holocaust, as well as the single-volume histories The First World War and The Second World War. He also wrote a three-volume series called A History of the Twentieth Century. Gilbert described himself as an "archival historian" who made extensive use of primary sources in his work.[4] Interviewed by the BBC on the subject of Holocaust research, Gilbert said he believes that the "tireless gathering of facts will ultimately consign Holocaust deniers to history."[5] By the 1980s Gilbert's academic attention had also turned towards the Refusenik movement in the Soviet Union.[6] Gilbert authored Jews of Hope: The Plight of Soviet Jewry Today (1984) and Shcharansky: Hero of Our Time (1986), and he presented on behalf of the Soviet Jewry Movement in a variety of contexts, ranging from large forums such as formal representation before the United Nations Commission on Human Rights [7] to smaller forums such as an educational slideshow for the general public on behalf of the Soviet Jewry Information Centre.[8] In 1995, Gilbert retired as a Fellow of Merton College but was made an Honorary Fellow. In 1999[9] he was awarded the D.Litt. degree by Oxford "for the totality of his published work".[10] In 2000 he received the Guardian of Zion Award from the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies at Bar-Ilan University. From 2002, he was a Distinguished Fellow of Hillsdale College, Michigan, and between 2006 and 2007 he was a Professor in the History department at the University of Western Ontario. In October 2008, he was elected to an Honorary Fellowship at Churchill College. Many laud Gilbert's books and atlases for their meticulous scholarship and his clear and objective presentation of complex events.[16] His book on World War I is described as a majestic, single-volume work incorporating all major fronts—domestic, diplomatic, military—for "a stunning achievement of research and storytelling."[17] Catholic sources describe him as a "fair-minded, conscientious collector of facts."[18] Gilbert's portrayal of Churchill's supportive attitudes to Jews (in his book Churchill and the Jews) has been criticised, for example, by Piers Brendon. Also, Tom Segev writes that, although Gilbert's book The Story of Israel is written with "encyclopedic clarity," it suffers by the absence of figures from Arab sources. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Gilbert

How crystal meth helped the Nazis conquer large parts of Europe
During WW2 German soldiers were taking a "medicine" called Pervitin, this stimulant contained pure methamphetamine, which we know today as crystal meth. "The Wehrmacht found out that Pervitin reduces fear, it reduces your need to sleep, and it makes you more aggressive. So these three reasons seemed perfect for the German army in 1940:" Norman Ohler, author of "Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich" told Business Insider. "Drugs came into play for example for the army in the war as a sort of pharmacological weapon, just as they used real weapons to fight. "Churchill said to his French colleague Daladier, when the Germans attacked, he should not worry so much about the speed of the German army because after 12 hours they would have to rest. But the German army, being high on methamphetamine, didn’t have to rest. "Churchill didn’t know about this so the first three days and three nights the Germans made huge advances by just not stopping and surprising the Western Allies this way." -------------------------------------------------- Follow BI UK on Twitter: http://bit.ly/1Nz3jG3 Follow BI UK On Facebook: http://bit.ly/1VWDkiy Read more: http://uk.businessinsider.com/?IR=C -------------------------------------------------- Business Insider UK is the largest business news site for British readers and viewers in the UK.
