I spent 5 days in Rome and only spend $159.84. I even splurged a bit. Transportation 0:58 Food 5:44 Accommodation 9:03 Attractions 9:33 Here's the breakdown of how I traveled Rome on a budget: ACCOMMODATION: Hostel bed: $51.25 City Tax: $18.00 Total: $69.25 FOOD: Ravioli dinner with Tiramisu: $17.17 Fancy antipasta with Cappucino: $22.13 Gelato: $3.09 Groceries (yogurt, apples, pasta, sauce, wine): $9.90 Total: $52.29 ATTRACTIONS: Walking Tour: $15.38 Total: $15.38 TRANSPORTATION: Bus: $7.43 Bus: $7.43 Metro: $8.06 Total: $22.92 ALL TOGETHER: $159.84. For five days in Rome, I spent under $160. This is fantastic, considering Rome is an expensive city in an expensive country! But if you're wondering how to travel Rome on a budget, or looking for some budget travel tips, you've come to the right place. The best tips are included in the video, but for those who just want to read and continue on preparing for your trip, remember these key points: 1. If you want to keep to your Rome trip budget, walk as much as possible. 2. If you want to eat on a budget in Rome, buy groceries and cook (some) meals. 3. If you need cheap accommodation in Rome, stay in a hostel or AirBnB. 4. If you're looking for free things to do in Rome, visit the many free attractions (the Vatican, Giancolo Hill, The Colosseum (outside), the parks, Trastevere, the river, etc.) This last one is a big one. It is easy to throw money at private tours or special tours. Some of those tours might be amazing. But you're at a point in your life where you can't afford the pricey amazing, just the budget amazing. Thankfully, there are a lot of free things to do in Rome, so the budget amazing is actually worth your time. MORE QUESTIONS?! I'm happy to hear that. Leave them in the comments and I'll get back to you ASAP. ;) See what backpack I have: https://youtu.be/FXVxapfBKuE See what's in my backpack: https://youtu.be/juf9ejsEEhg ______________________ MORE ABOUT Fearless Jacey: Join the Fearless Community: http://bit.ly/2l2HXKR My Website: http://www.jaceyfraser.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fearlessjacey/ My Book, Fearless U: http://amzn.to/2nRhZgs HELP US BOTH: Rock an original "Be Fearless" SHIRT! https://teespring.com/stores/the-fearless-store Get PATREON rewards: https://www.patreon.com/FearlessJacey Get $40 AIRBNB credit: https://www.airbnb.com/c/jaceyf9 Get $25 for using this link at BOOKING.COM: https://www.booking.com/s/19_6/jacey325 Learn about TUBEBUDDY--My most-used YouTube tool: https://www.tubebuddy.com/Fearlessjacey _________________________________________________________________ Here you'll find my honest experience of traveling Europe for a year on a budget! Read the Blog on What Tourists Should Not Do When They Visit Italy: https://woltersworld.com/12-things-tourists-should-not-do-when-they-visit-italy/ GRAB A WOLTERS WORLD SHIRT http://www.woltersworld.com/shop What You Shouldn't Do When You Are in Italy Visiting Italy is an amazing experience whether you are seeing the Roman ruins throughout the country in places like Rome or Naples, but for all the amazing things you should do in Italy (visit Venice, Florence, Rome, Ravenna, Amalfi Coast, eat until you explode) there are things you DON'T DO when you come to Italy & Here are our 12 things NOT TO DO in Italy when you are traveling Italy. Filmed in Vicenza, Italy Copyright Mark Wolters 2016 The Don'ts of Italy 1. Don't expect to get discount prices on fancy Italian luxury brands. 2. Don't eat near tourist sights. You will be ripped off and not get as good of Italian food as you would away from the tourist sights. 3. Don't Tip. They already charge you for service. 4. You Don't have to scream louder to get people to understand you. 5. Don't worry about overdressing, the Italians will always look better than you. 6. Don't just visit Rome and Venice, there is so much more to Italy. 7. Don't share your pizza and make sure you do eat it with your fork and knife. 8. Don't use the fast trains for short distances, they are not worth the significantly higher prices. 9. Don't expect to see spaghetti and meatballs on the menu TOGETHER. They will be there separately, but not together. 10. Don't expect a big breakfast in Italy. Just coffee and a cookie. 11. Don't overpack. You will be limited on space when traveling in Italy so pack accordingly. 12. Don't expect to be served food in a restaurant between 3pm and 7pm. 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About Visiting Italy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGhlkXw10Z0 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About Visiting The USA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89aEoIjzupk 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About Germany https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyHi2FESIVo USA Today & 10Best's #1 Independent Travel Videographer 2014 FlipKey by TripAdvisor Top 10 Travel Bloggers 2014 Grab Wolters World Merchandise & Travel Gear at http://www.woltersworld.com/shop Our Gear: Sony Alpha 6000: Our favorite camera for vlogging. SPRING IN ITALY Hi guys! Italy was not part of my bucket list as what I´ve said on the vlog. It's a previlige to visit the great Italy since I live nearby, 3.5 hours by plane away! I've seen the beautiful photos and have always wanted to see how breathtaking this land really was with my own eyes! Especially the works of Michaelangelo which was not shown here in the vlog for the reason it`s not allowed to take pictures inside the Sistine Chapel. I´ve learned about the history and the stories behind the things. Follow me on instagram : @chenax03 Facebook : Chen Galo Thanks Guys!

The other train is the regional trains. These go shorter distances like Milan to Como. *How to Book a Regional Train in Italy* Example train routes: Milan to Como Florence to Pisa - The Regional trains don’t need to be bought in advance. - Once you’re at the station there will be ticket machines to purchase the tickets. - The prices are fixed so it isn’t cheaper if you buy in advance. There are no assigned seats so if you want a seat get on the train right when it arrives. - Also don’t forget to validate your train ticket before hopping on. If you don’t do this, you’ll get fined! The regional trains make it super easy to do little short one day trips to another city. *How to Book a Long Distance Train in Italy* The below is the cheapest and easiest method to book a long distance train from two cities such as Venice to Florence. - All seats on these trains are reserved. - I found that buying my ticket from Italiarail.com was the easiest to use. Some say it could be cheaper if you are buying two or more tickets. I’ve looked on other sites and it was the cheapest I could find at the time. - The website charges a small service fee of 3.50 euros per transaction. HOWEVER, if you book it with Seat61.com, you can email them afterward to get the service fee refunded. Here is a list some other sites you could compare prices with: www.italiarail.com www.loco2.com www.trenitalia.com If you are traveling with two people I suggest getting seats facing each other on the side. * The Difference Between First and Second Class Seating* Standard seating: - Decent space to put luggage - Cloth seats - Comfortable First Class seating: - 25 euros more/person on avg. - Leather seats - A bit more leg room - Free drink and snack - Extra room for large luggage Overall, I don’t think it’s worth the extra cost. *Common Italian Train Station Names (Translated English to Italian)* Rome: Stazione Terimini Venice: Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia Florence: Firenze Santa Maria Novella Milan: Milano Centrale For Rome the main station you should take is Station Termini because it is walking distance to all the sights. Roma Ostiense and Roma Triburtina stations are all on the outskirts of the city so you would have to take a local train or taxi into the city center. Here are how long the train takes from one city to the next: Rome to Florence 1 hour and 32 minutes Venice to Florence takes 2 hours and 5 minutes Florence to Milan takes 1 hour and 41 minutes ∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙ ∙• Instagram (see beautiful travel pics!): @https://www.instagram.com/the.life.of.lin ∙• Facebook (connect with me!): https://www.facebook.com/lifeoflin/ ∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙ ➜ Watch more videos from my channel here: http://bit.ly/2yGbpeP #tuscany #travelvlog #travel #italy #tours Music provided by: Evan Schaeffer - Riser

This 3 day trip highlights our experience to Italy: Verona & Milan, including food and travel prices. As most people know, Milan is known for the beautiful landmarks and its places for shopping so overall, we found the parts of Italy that we explored interesting due to its architecture and history, but very expensive. We definitely recommend this trip for those who like to go shopping or explore and read history. But next time, we will explore another part.

Europe is NOT as expensive as people make it seem to be!!! I've spent more than 1 year of my life in Europe, visiting every single country on the continent, and I promise you it's not as expensive as you think... Traveling around Europe can EASILY be done on $30/day, as long as you prioritize your expenses. No more excuses! Anyone else agree with me? Welcome to Venice, Italy! I visited Venice for four days and had a wonderful time. It was one if the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Venice is renowned for its expense, but I went on a small budget and thoroughly enjoyed myself and did a lot of typical Venetian tourist activities. I hope this Vlog gives you an idea of what you can do when you visit Venice for a decent budget. Thanks for watching my Venice travel Vlog, and don't forget to subscribe, like and comment! How we managed to spend under $30 USD in Positano, Italy, one of the most expensive travel destinations in Europe. Visiting some of these amazing places isn't always cheap but the views make it worth it. Instead of buying bus tickets, try renting a car! We'll give you the low down. I made a mistake in my visa application and I actually overstayed in France. But all is well, they did let me go. And they were very nice to me. They even offered me cookies.

We cover activities you won't find in a typical Rome tourism brochure, Rome itinerary or Rome, Italy city tour also known as Roma Italia. 20 Things to do in Rome, Italy Travel Guide Video Transcript: (ROMA) Rome, the Eternal City. After several trips to Italy, we finally managed to visit our biggest oversight: the capital! From wandering through Roman ruins to devouring pizza, and climbing up lookout points to feasting on gelato, in this travel guide, we’re going to share with you 20 things to do in Rome, Italy: We reached Roscioli which was the best pizza in Rome. Pizzas are served by the weight and we sampled 7 different pizza slices. We stopped at Largo di Torre Argentina an archaeological site home to four different temples containing parts of the portico of Pompey. It was a short walk to the Pantheon, a former Roman temple turned church, which dates back to the year 125 AD. The Pantheon boasted the world’s largest cupola up until the 15th century, and it is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in existence to this day making it one of the greatest architectural achievements by the ancient Romans. If you want to find the best gelato, look for colours that are muted with small batches. One of the many things to do in Rome, was to visit the Trevi Fountain. This is the largest Baroque fountain in the city. Rome’s most famed attraction is the Colosseum and its surrounding ruins. We started our visit on Palatine Hill, the most central of Rome's seven hills. What visitors see today are the ruins of the Palace of Domitian, a 1st-century complex, which served as the main imperial palace for 300 years. We continued to the Roman Forum. This square was the centre of ancient Roman life, with government buildings, temples, and markets. We reached the Colosseum, which was the largest amphitheatre ever built and could hold an estimated 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. Walking through the Vatican Museum was more overwhelming than enjoyable. We visited Vatican City to climb St. Peter’s Basilica for views of Rome. Castel Sant’Angelo was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. Villa Borghese is the 3rd largest public park in Rome with gardens, villas, and ponds with views of the city overlooking Piazza del PO-polo, the people’s square. That concludes our tour of Rome showcasing the many things to do in Rome on your own trip. This is part of our Travel in Italy video series showcasing Italian food, Italian culture and Italian cuisine. Music by DJ Quads: https://soundcloud.com/aka-dj-quads

(After watching this video and other ones coming up in this series, I am sure you will know that travelling in Europe is no more a costly affair) 2. Which are the cheapest flights from India to Europe? (I have shared some tricks which will help you to get cheap flight tickets to Europe) 3. We’ll be giving you all the essential information that you need to Travel better. Covering tips on money, language, getting around, and of course the iconic leaning tower. But first here’s bit about this small but historic city. Once a powerful maritime city state, modern Pisa is a small town packed full of culture, with a long and interesting history. Although it’s iconic leaning tower made it world famous, there is much more to Pisa than this one landmark. Friendly locals, great food, and classic architecture, make it one of our favourite places to visit in Italy. Pisa has one airport that’s only one short hop from the City centre, and it’s here where our guide starts Pisa airport is the main gateway into Tuscany, and receives almost 5 million passengers every year. It’s really close to town, and transfers are available by public bus, taxi or the Pisa Mover service. When taking the bus look out for the big blue City bus signs. Taking the Lam Rossa line towards Pisa, Tickets cost €1.20, buses leave every 10 minutes and the journey takes 6 minutes to Pisa Centrale. A taxi should cost around €10, with an extra €2.55 charge on Sundays and public holidaysNew in 2017 the Pisa Mover shuttle service costs €2.70 each way and gets you into town in just 5 minutes. It’s defiantly our recommended way to get into the centre. Pisa is a small city and one that’s best enjoyed on foot, infant it’s usually quicker and easier this way. For example a walk from Pisa Centrale should take no more than twenty minutes. The bus service in Pisa uses three main lines; red, green and blue. The red line, ro LAM Rossa, is the one that takes you to the Leaning Tower. Tickets are available in tobacco shops, the station and airport. Buy your ticket before you travel and then validate as you board. Bear in mind that after 9pm the buses switch to a reduced night service until midnight. Tickets are available in 70, 120 and 240 minute variations and the 70-minute ticket is also available in books of 4 or 10. Driving in Pisa is similar to other popular Italian cities, in that it has a limited-traffic-zone, called the ZTL. Driving in this zone will incur a fine between €60 and €100 each time you pass a traffic camera (meaning you can get fined multiple times for driving along the same street). The Leaning Tower is one of Italy’s most iconic sights, and is what Pisa is best known for, here are the key facts: The Towers characteristic lean is caused by a combination of it’s small foundations and the soft soil on which it was built. After a programme of structural strengthening was completed in 2001 the tower is now safe to enter. When buying tickets you'll be given a time slot to return to enter to the tower. This could be up to 3 hours after purchase. So we think it’s well worth booking your tickets in advance to avoid the long wait. Only 40 people are allowed inside at any one time, and children under 8 are not permitted at all. No bags at all are allowed in the tower. You can take a camera, but your bag must go in the free security deposit. You're allowed 35 minutes inside the tower after entering. Opening times are varied, we'll link to the official website in the description to the official website.
