HD Archeology Documentary - Dark Secrets of the Black Sea

56:29
We always have to keep in mind that a Documentary, after all, can tell lies and it can tell lies because it lays claim to a form of veracity which fiction doesn't. Some of the documentaries are made just to discredit some particular person, party, organization, system etc, but most of them here on TDF are non biased, without prejudice and worth watching.
The Black Sea Flood - Top 10 Natural Disasters

07:15
Evidence suggests the world map was redrawn by a mega flood of a biblical proportions about 9 thousand years ago. The area now covered by the Black Sea was once home to one of the largest populations at the time. Presented by oceanographer Dr. Simon Boxall and Hristo Smolenov, PhD in logic and heuristics. https://sites.google.com/site/blackseaatlantis/
Black Sea deluge hypothesis

11:22
The Black Sea deluge is a hypothesized catastrophic rise in the level of the Black Sea circa 5600 BC due to waters from the Mediterranean Sea breaching a sill in the Bosporus strait. The hypothesis was headlined when The New York Times published it in December 1996, shortly before it was published in an academic journal. While it is agreed that the sequence of events described did occur, there is debate over the suddenness, dating and magnitude of the events. Two opposing hypotheses have arisen to explain the rise of the Black Sea: gradual, and oscillating. The oscillating hypothesis specifies that over the last 30,000 years, water has intermittently flowed back and forth between the Black Sea and the Aegean Sea in relatively small magnitudes, and does not necessarily presuppose that there occurred any sudden "refilling" events. The Mediterranean Monolith & The Flood Of Noah

11:40
The monolith found on the Mediterranean sea floor off of Sicily's southern coast is evidence of high human activity in the region prior to what I believe was the big flood coming from world wide myths. I believe the rising sea levels were caused by two things. I say 9,500 years ago when I mean 9,500 BC. I do this all the time. http://www.livescience.com/51849-photos-monolith-sicily.html

Six million years ago, the Mediterranean Sea nearly dried up during what is called the "Messinian Salinity Crisis". This movie shows a physics-based computer simulation of the breach of Gibraltar and the flood of the basin. A similar event 10,000 years ago, in the then populated Black Sea basin, may have been the source of the Noah's Arc narrative. Prehistoric Megastorms - Noah's Great Flood

Visit our new website: http://bestfreedocumentaries.org https://www.facebook.com/bestfreedocumentaries Blog: http://documentarydesire.blogspot.co.uk/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/DocuDesire Could the biblical story of Noah be true? Did real disasters inspire the story of Earth's 40-day submersion, the ultimate "do-over?" Recent core sample discoveries point to a series of events that could have lead to climactic conditions that washed out entire land masses, even destroying complete civilizations. MEGA DISASTERS examines one such cataclysm in great detail: 8000 years ago the Mediterranean Sea, pushed by rising sea levels worldwide, exploded through the Bosporus Strait with devastating results. This ancient inundation may have been the greatest natural disaster in the history of humankind. MEGA DISASTERS reconstructs this massive flood, which claimed an area twice the size of Ireland, and utilizes vivid 3D animation to plunge viewers deep into the experience of this epic catastrophe. NOAH'S GREAT FLOOD, whether apocryphal or literal, is the ultimate tale of man vs. nature (and God, for that matter), and MEGA DISASTERS shows how it may have really happened! https://www.facebook.com/bestfreedocumentaries

EASTERN BLACKSEA REGION - TURKEY

06:52
The Black Sea Region Lush and green throughout the year, rocky mountains, the cool waters of the coast and plantations of tea, hazelnuts, tobacco and corn, the Black Sea is a unique part of the country. The main industry is farming, thanks mainly to the high rainfall, andin the summer the roadsides are lined with hazelnuts drying in the sun. The culture, cuisine, climate and even dialect is different to the rest of Turkey, and the coastal road stretches from east of Istanbul to the border with Georgia. The cities in this region are Amasya, Artvin, Bolu, Corum, Duzce, Giresun, Gumushane, Kastamonu, Ordu, Rize, Samsun, Sinop, Tokat, Trabzon Zonguldak, Bartin and Karabuk. Akcakoca is on the far western side of the coast, with endless hazelnutorchards. Inland to the east is Safranbolu, with a wonderful collection of old Ottoman houses, and Devek, famous for its intricately carved walking canes.Further along the coast are Inkum, Amasra and Cakraz, and then Sinop which has been a port for 1000 years and is still one of the biggest in the Black Sea. The town takes its name from the Amazon queen Sinope and local mythology suggests that femalewarriors, called Amazons, lived in this region. It is now an important industrial and commercial centre.Unye and Fatsa, east of Samsun, are popular holiday resorts with natural scenic beauty, beaches, accommodation, campsites and restaurants. Ordu is a charming city with hazelnut orchards stretching out for miles in all directions and 46km east isGiresun, with its castle perched on a steep rocky slope, crowning the city and overlooking the beach. This is where the Roman general Lucullus saw cherries for the first time, and liked them so much he introduced them into Europe.Trabzon is another important commercial port on the Black Sea, and it connects with ports in other Black Sea countries. Trabzon Castle was founded on an area shaped like a table, and the architecture that developed around the castle reflects Byzantine,Commagene and Ottoman styles. The city's most important building is the Ayasofya Museum, the interior of which is decorated with frescoes, and the exterior with reliefs. From Boztepe Park and the Ataturk Museum there are stunning panoramic views ofthe city. Inside the Altindere National Park near Macka, the Sumela Monastery is perched on high cliffs overlooking the Altindere valley, and was founded in the 14th century by Alexius III. Inside the monastery is a church, a library, various other rooms and asacred spring. The area around Rize is the wettest in the country with wonderful shades of green, and is the centre of Turkey's tea production with plantations on the high terraces. Hopa is the last Turkish port before reaching the Georgian border, and to the southis Artvin. The city was established on the terraced hills overlooking the Coruh River, which is well known for rafting, and within the province are old Georgian houses and churches.

What Happened To Atlantis?

It’s the Island of Santorini A common view is that Atlantis was actually part of Santorini, a small island in the East Mediterranean that was partly-destroyed by the mighty Volcano of Thera in 1646 BC. Yeah, a looong time ago. Geologists have suggested that if you reconstruct the island of Santorini, you can see that this complete version, before it was destroyed by the volcano, used to be Plato’s mysterious island of legend! 9. The Black Sea Some are happy to believe that Atlantis was just a made up story of legend. But others believe it was a real place. Not only that, but it was actually something else. The theory of Atlantis being located in the Black Sea region is a great example of this. It all centers on the rise of ocean levels following the last Ice Age. 8. Under Antarctica Atlantis is usually believed to have somewhere warm, possibly around the Mediterranean, and you’d probably need your sunscreen (if it had been invented yet). However an American historian thought the truth was very different. And colder! Prof. Charles A Hapgood went on record in the 1950s as believing the mythical island was in fact, part of Antarctica. 7. Is It Based on Truth? Atlantis is often portrayed as being the perfect society, a peaceful utopia that was very technologically advanced. However, if you look at where the legend started, in Plato’s dialogues written in 330 BC, he describes a place that is just like any other. According to him, it was a technologically advanced society that was wealthy, and had a very powerful military but it was also corrupt. He claims that Atlantis battled against the city of Athens who came out the hero. 6. It was founded by Lemurians An old idea about Atlantis is that it’s connected to the lost continent of Lemuria. Lemuria was believed to be located in the Indian or Pacific oceans but their continent sunk due to volcanic activity. They were beings who could travel between dimensions by altering the matter in their bodies. Plate tectonic theory and the existence of other continents strongly discount that this ever existed. 5. Lost in the Bermuda Triangle Plato talks about how Atlantis was swallowed by the sea in a single day. Even so, you’d think that over the centuries someone would have stumbled on something concrete to prove the island existed right? Well this kind of happened in the late 1960s. 4. It’s in the Bahamas If you’re in the United States then Atlantis may be closer than you think. To be more precise it could be 50 miles east of Miami! There lies the island of Bimini, part of a chain of islands in the Bahamas. Just 20 feet (6m) under the water there are some mysterious stones which could show the existence of Plato’s fabled kingdom. 3. Founded by Aliens You know I couldn’t leave this theory out, since so many people out there actually believe this stuff, no thanks to Ancient Aliens on the History Channel! Supposedly aliens landed on our planet in its infancy and helped in the development of our ancient cultures, one of which was Atlantis. 2. It’s in Morocco A German computer genius named Michael Hübner came up with a unique approach to finding Atlantis in 2008 when he gave a presentation at the Atlantis Conference in Athens. Others had taken an archaeological approach or used mysticism to locate Plato’s fantasy island. 1.Plato Made It Up I’m sad to say that the most realistic theory is that Atlantis was made up by Plato, the Athenian philosopher who first told the world about it. Plato lived between 424-328 BC. The legendary island with an advanced civilization was described in his Dialogues titled ‘Timaeus’ and ‘Critias’ which were written around 330 BC. In his 1896 book, The Swastika: The Earliest Known Symbol and its Migrations, Thomas Wilson, former curator of the Department of Prehistoric Anthropology in the U.S. National Museum, wrote of the swastika: “An Aryan symbol (卐) used by the Aryan peoples before their dispersion through Asia and Europe. This might serve as an explanation how…as a sacred symbol…the Swastika might have been carried to the different peoples in which we now find it by the splitting up of the Aryan peoples and their migrations and establishment in the various parts of Europe.” To many eastern Europeans in the Ukraine, the traditional, spiritual, and virtuous values, attributed to the Vinok, remain at the forefront. Who is DC Comics Black Manta? Evil "Batman" of the Sea.

05:26
This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the DC Comics character "Black Manta." From so-called David Hyde having a mysterious origin as a treasure hunter with his dad, unfortunate events leading to misunderstanding and the tragic demise of Aquaman and Black Manta's fathers at each others hands, Black Manta dedicating his life and genius to destroying Atlantis and everything Aquaman loves, using his vast engineering prowess to create an amazing armored diving suit that vastly boosts his strength and other physical attributes to superhuman levels, becoming the best treasure hunter on Earth and regularly finding mythical artifacts, routinely battling Aquaman as well as The Others and Justice League teams, allying himself with the Secret Society of Supervillains and leading N.E.MO., a brief stint with the Suicide Squad and the Crime Syndicate, to joining the Injustice League to help contend with the Justice League and ultimately his sworn enemy Aquaman; Let's take a look at this genius DC supervillain, and the persistent aquatic enemy of Aquaman and the Justice League. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters. #DCComics #BlackManta #Aquaman #DavidHyde #DCEU #JusticeLeague #Supervillains #Atlantis #ComicBooks #Comics #NewSage

Evolution Deep Sea Vents and Life's Origins

04:01
http://www.myspace.com/acorvettes Bacteria found deep in the ocean in the volcanic regions of mid-ocean ridges suggest a possible scenario for the beginning of life on earth. Ocean water seeps into cracks created by sea-floor spreading at the mid-ocean ridges and is heated by magma from inside the earth. Water in these hydrothermal vents reaches temperatures of 375 degrees C and higher and is rich in dissolved minerals. The hot water rises from the vents in geysers and meets cold ocean water, causing minerals to precipitate out of solution as the water cools. In some places compounds of iron and sulfides form "chimneys" on top of the vents. Such an extreme environment seemed unlikely to support life given the conditions of temperature, pressure, and absence of light for photosynthesis.

Most MYSTERIOUS Ocean Facts!

Check out these top unexplained mysteries of the deep ocean. From strange sounds captured in the deep sea by hydrophones such as the bloop, the train, and julia, to gigantic whirlpools, biggest underwater falls and the milky bioluminescent sea phenomenon. Are deep sea monsters living deep in the ocean? Underwater Falls Voted one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. On the Southwestern tip of the island you will find a fascinating illusion. When viewed from above, a runoff of sand and silt deposits creates the impression of an ‘underwater waterfall’. But did you know there are actually real underwater waterfalls? Seven waterfalls have been discovered deep underwater. The tallest waterfall on Earth is not Angel Falls, but an underwater waterfall called Denmark Strait Cataract located in the Atlantic ocean between Greenland and Iceland. It is the world's highest underwater waterfall, with water falling almost 11,500 feet and carries 175 million cubic feet of water per second. It is caused due to temperature differences in the water on either side of the strait. Cold water is denser than warm water. And the eastern side of the strait is a lot colder than the western side. So when the waters meet, the cold water sinks below the warmer water, creating a strong downward flow, which is considered a waterfall. And it's not just waterfalls that are under the ocean. There are huge secret rivers, complete with rapids and islands that flow down the sea shelves out into the desert plains creating river banks and flood plains. Here's a picture of the river Cenote Angelita under the sea of Mexico. These salty rivers carry sediments and minerals and could be vital in sustaining life. The world's sixth largest river, by volume, is below the Black Sea. It is 350 times larger than the Thames and 150 feet deep in places. 8. Milky Sea Phenomenon For over 400 years, sailors told tales of a mysterious event that takes place far out in the Indian Ocean. They would come across miles and miles of milky glowing waters, sometimes stretching as far as the eye could see. In 2005, a group of scientists led by Dr. Steven Miller of the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, Calif., decided to take a closer look at this story to see if it was true. They managed to register about 235 observations and get a satellite image that showed an area of low lighting in the Indian Ocean about the size of Connecticut. Their samples that they collected indicated the presence of a type of bioluminescent bacteria in the water, known as Vibrio harveyi. This isn't the same kind of bacteria that you might see in waves that use their bright light to ward off predators. This bioluminescent bacteria may actually use light to attract fish, since its favorite place to live is inside a fish's gut. Scientists' guess is that since they only emit a very faint light on their own, they have to gather together to make an impact. Their collective glow can grow to massive, milky sea proportions when their numbers swell to a huge amount -- think 40 billion trillion. They may also congregate to colonize algae. Sounds like a party! It is still only a guess since Dr. Miller and his colleagues haven't determined exactly what causes the bacteria to gather. 7. Unexplained sounds Of course dark, creepy fog can make you jump at anything that goes bump in the night. But what about things that go "bloop" in the sea? With names like "The Bloop," "Train" and "Julia," the sounds have been captured by hydrophones, or underwater microphones, monitored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The decidedly nonspooky nicknames for these sounds do little to dispel the mystery surrounding them. In 1997, NOAA hydrophones 3,000 miles apart picked up one of the loudest sounds ever recorded off the southern coast of South America: the Bloop (which sounds exactly like its name, a bloop). The Bloop mimics marine animal sounds in some ways, but if it were some kind of sea creature it would have to be almost the size of the Eiffel tower for that sound to be heard from 3,000 miles away. So what made the sound? It's anyone's guess but deep-sea monsters aside, NOAA holds the most likely explanation for The Bloop is that it was the sound of a large iceberg fracturing. Sure.... Another weird noise known as Julia sounds almost like someone whining or maybe even singing under water. The eastern equatorial Pacific autonomous array (the fancy name for the network of hydrophones) picked up this strange sound that lasted 15 seconds in 1999.

It is located on the Black Sea coast, in a lagoon to the east, hilly in the north and in the central part, and in the plain to the south and west. The city of Constanţa has a 6 km long private beach. Constanta Romania was founded after the Greek colonization of the Black Sea basin (Greek Pontos Euxeinos) by the merciful colonists in the 7th-5th centuries BC, under the name of Tomis. This name is probably derived from the Greek word (Tomí) meaning cut, cleavage. According to the legend, Iason and his arrogates would have been here after they were sent to the Caucasus to steal the "Golden Wool." Followed by King Colhide's fleet, Aietes "Uliul", he had cut off his son, Absyrtos, until then held hostage on board to force the king to seek and gather the remains for the funeral ceremony, giving the Argonautes The time required to run for the Bosphorus. However, archaeologists consider it more plausible that the cut (shoreline) would rather have designated the ancient port, today submerged, in front of the Casino. Another possible origin of the name would be Tomiris, the Queen of the Massages, a getic tribe living between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea (Herodotus). The Milezians found a getic settlement in these places, the new city reaching the level of a polis only in the IV-III century BC. The port used by the Greeks to trade with the inhabitants of these regions (Dacians, Scythians and Celts) Of an urban center. Tomis became part of the Roman Empire in the year 46, being renamed Constantiana. Publius Ovidius Naso, the Roman poet, found his exile between 8-17 years. And spent the last eight years in Constantia in Constanta. Constanta the most beautiful city in the world!
