Three tools: Product Discovery, Market Intelligence, and Keyword Research. How do they work individually, and how do they work together? Starting off, Product Discovery’s purpose is to help you find incredible products to sell. It’s difficult coming up with new product ideas, and YouProduct Discovery helps pull out the GREAT ones. You input what you’re looking for, click search, and build a list of relevant and incredible markets you didn’t even know existed. There are four ways to find products with Product Discovery. On top of finding new products for you, Product Discovery also gives you the chance to do a number of other things. Full brand breakdowns allow you to either pull up brands that are doing well, or type in a competing brand to keep an eye on the competition and replicate other brand’s success. Full subcategory breakdowns allow you to see how entire categories or subcategories are performing. Product Discovery lets you dig into data to not only make smart sourcing decisions, but to keep up to date on what’s happening in each market and with your competition.
Product Discovery gives you the idea for the product, and Market Intelligence helps you dig into even MORE data for the product market. You’ll use Market Intelligence to either say - “Hey, this actually IS a great market” - OR - “Nope, this market SUCKS”. If Product Discovery is step one, Market Intelligence is step 2. Find the product with Product Discovery, validate it with Market Intelligence. Now, you can also use Market Intelligence to validate an idea of your own. If you have an idea for a market, but you found it outside of Product Discovery, you can plug it into Market Intelligence, and look at the data to say either of the same thing - “YEP” or “NOPE”.
Alright, so Product Discovery was step 1. Market Intelligence is step 2. Keyword Research is present, and should be used, throughout the research process. It IS it’s own ‘step three’, however is also involved in ‘Steps 1-3’ . It’s purpose is to help you really dig into two primary things: search volume and relevant keywords. Simply put, it is it’s own tool, and has its own step in the product research process, but is directly integrated into both Product Discovery and Market Intelligence to be involved throughout the entire research process.
As you’re using product discovery to find product markets, you’ll be able to use Keyword Research to see exactly how many people are searching for that market. As youre using Market Intelligence, you’ll be able to do the exact same thing. On its own, however, plugging in a keyword will bring up the most relevant keywords to build out your listing. You’ll be able to see exact search volume, search trends, and a whole lot more. With Listing builder, you’ll also be able to plug your ASINs listing in directly, and use the tool to build-out your products listing using a combination of our search algorithms and exact search volume from Amazon.
Keyword research you’ll be using in conjunction with Product Discovery and Market Intelligence to see exactly whether people are searching for those products or not, and you’ll be using it on its own to look up other, extremely relevant and valuable keywords as well as build out your listing.
Product Discovery, Market Intelligence, and Keyword Research - each tools in their own right. Together, however, they make up the Pro Package.
