Contact Form 7 Tutorial - Create a 2-Column Responsive Form With Contact Form 7 | CF7 Tuts Part 4

Contact Form 7 Tutorial - Create a 2-Column Responsive Form With Contact Form 7 Check out https://happyforms.me/ , it's a cool new form builder that you may like better than CF7 (and it's free!): HappyForms.me Exclusive for WPLearningLab viewers, up to 50% off hosting: https://wplearninglab.com/wordpress-hosting-offer/ Putting the contact form code into the YouTube description didn't make sense because YouTube doesn't allow pointy brackets, which there are a lot of in this code. So instead, you can find it here: https://wplearninglab.com/contact-form-7-2-column-responsive-form Below are the CSS styles I mention in the video: /*--- 2 Column Form Styles Start ---*/ #left { width: 47%; float: left; margin-right:6%; } #right { width: 47%; float: left; } .clearfix:after { content:"\0020"; display:block; height:0; clear:both; visibility:hidden; overflow:hidden; margin-bottom:10px; } .clearfix { display:block; } /*--- 2 Column Form Styles End ---*/ With over 1 million active downloads, the Contact Form 7 (https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/) plugin by Takayuki Miyoshi is one of the most popular contact form plugins around. And for good reason. It makes contact forms a breeze. In this Contact Form 7 tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a 2-column Responsive form using Contact Form 7. They key to creating a contact form using Contact Form 7 with two columns is the use of HTML Div tags and CSS floats. A regular WordPress contact form is nice, but the two columns really adds a bit of polish. First things first, if you haven't installed Contact Form 7 yet, let's do that. To install this plugin please log into your WordPress dashboard, hover over Plugins and then click on Add New. On the next page type "Contact Form 7" into the search bar. The plugin we want should be the first one in the top left. Click on the Install Now button and then click Activate after it's installed. It will add a new menu item in the left hand admin menu called Contact Form. Hover over that click on Add New. You will taken to the new form creator. First enter a name for your contact form and then paste the HTML form code into the form editor. Next, click on the Mail tab to customize the email that is generated when the form is submitted. Make sure you add all of the available fields that are at the top of the Mail tab. Watch the video to see how to do this in detail. When you're done, click on Save Changes. Next, we need to add this form to a page. After saving a blue bar will appear at the top of the form editor. Inside that blue bar is the shortcode for your form. Copy that code. Now go to Pages, then Add New to create a new page OR find the page where your contact form needs to live. Inside the page editor paste the shortcode and click on Update to save the page. When you view the page, you will see a 1 column form. Now it's time to make it 2-column and responsive using CSS. Back inside the WordPress admin find a place where you can add custom CSS. Your theme may have a special spot in the Theme Options section or you may have a code insert plugin or you may have a plugin that allows you to add CSS directly to specific pages. However it is that you add CSS, do that. Just paste in the CSS and save. As long as you didn't change the HTML, your contact form 7 will now be 2 column responsive! And that's how easy it is to create a contact form WordPress. I hope this information helps you! DIV, Float, Margin in your WordPress blog

06:22
Create extra DIVS in your WordPress blog. DIVS are like blocks and in this video styling of DIVS are shown. Styling as Margin, Float, Clear both are shown with text. This in-page styling doesn't use any programs or plugins. Just type in the edit part, (where you always type your blog). On the right hand top corner there is the choice of visual / text. For styling, switch over to text. Here the used styling is shown and the new styling added. WordPress itself already uses padding for indenting text, justify for outlining text. Span and colors to give color to text. But there is much more code which can be used here. And it is simple. Most of the used code is printed as text on my website: http://meijwebdesign.nl

CSS how to: padding

05:18
This video shows how to use the padding property in CSS. This allows you control how much space appears between the edge of your HTML element and the content it contains. You can make all sides equal or you can make individual sides have different padding sizes. You can use the specific properties of padding-right, padding-left, padding-top, or padding-bottom, but the padding property can do all four at once. If you specify one measurement, it affects all sides. If you use two numbers, it'll pad top and bottom on the first number and second number does the sides. If you state four numbers in the CSS property all sides are affected in the order of top, right, bottom, and left. So they start at the top and go in a clockwise fashion. CSS padding is the opposite of margin. Padding puts space inside the element. Margin puts space outside the element's border. http://www.technoblogical.com/web-design/ Providing training since last Tuesday http://www.technoblogical.com Thanks for watching!

The CSS Value of Auto

04:49
A is for Auto Auto is the default value for dimension properties width and height. Setting margin:0 auto and a width or max-width allows a block of content to be horizontally centered on the page. There is a subtle difference between width:auto and width:100%. When combining width:auto with padding, the width is automatically calculated and takes the padding into account - whereas width:100% sets the width to 100% of the element’s parent with padding added additionally. In CSS positioning, top and left take priority over bottom and right. If you need to override a previously declared top or left position, they first need to be set to auto. https://www.sitepoint.com

Create HTML Margins Using CSS In Detail - HTML Margins Create Space

07:57
Create HTML Margins Using CSS In Detail - HTML Margins Create Space https://youtu.be/ebFE1PaGoSg There is no such thing as HTML margins, instead there are CSS margins. The CSS margins property allows you to set the amount of space between the edge of one element and the edge of another. Padding on the other hand allows you to set the amount of space between the contents of an element and the edges of that same element. If there is one value in the margin shorthand then that value is applied to all sides. If there are two values then the first value is applied top and bottom and the second value is applied left and right. if there are three values then the first value is applied to the top, the second value is applied left and right and the third value is applied to the bottom. If there are four values then the first value is applied to the top, the second value is applied to the right, the third value is applied to the bottom and the fourth value is applied to the left. That's all there is to it. I hope this video helps you! If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below. 04:44
In this tutorial you will find out difference between margin and padding! how it works and what rules parameters has. Btw. I didn't mantioned but you could use not only: margin:0px; padding:0px; you can be specific, and write something like: margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px; margin-left:10px; margin-right:10px; OR padding-top:5px; padding-bottom:5px; padding-left:10px; padding-right:10px; Instagram: ► https://instagram.com/laimonas171/ Facebook: ► https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tutorial-Island Google+: ► https://plus.google.com/+Laimonas171 Website: ► http://www.tutorialisland.net

HTML Padding Left Using CSS In Detail - HTML Padding Left Creates Space On The Right

03:24
HTML Padding Left Using CSS In Detail - HTML Padding Left Creates Space On The Left https://youtu.be/U9YIHrGLCmA There no such thing as HTML padding-left. Padding is defined by CSS and the margin is applied to the HTML.The CSS padding left property defines the amount of space between the contents of an element and the top edge of the element. Padding-left is most commonly defined using pixels and percentages. CSS padding is different from margins in that margins apply space outside of an element and padding applies space within an element. That's all there is to it. I hope this video helps you!
