Brilliant Hidden Messages – Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” This article was writtin By: Magdaline - Founder of https://www.maggiesholisticsny.com/ Leonardo da Vinci was one of the worlds greatest artists of all time and an intellectual of the Italian Renaissance, who is well known for his work in "The Last Supper" and the "Mona Lisa" paintings. Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 and died on May 2, 1519. He was a painter, sculptor, architect, inventor and much more. Leonardo's most famous painting of the 1490s is The Last Supper, commissioned for the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria della Grazie in Milan. It represents the last meal shared by Jesus with his disciples before his capture and death, and shows the moment when Jesus has just said "one of you will betray me". What is interesting is that “The Last Supper” when examined from a closer more knowledgeable outlook – as explained by Manly P. Hall, is that we can start to see that Da Vinci, who had access to the secret Vatican libraries and a 33 degree mason, which is a word that originated from the root of “Masorah” the collection of information and comment on the text of the traditional Hebrew Bible by the “Masoretes”. – (aka Masons literally “conveyors of tradition”) hide some very important information in his works hidden in plain sight. The first sign of the zodiac is not Capricorn but Aries the sign of the ram. Which is why you see the ram symbolism all throughout ancient cultures. The last sign is the Pisces, which is the age that Jesus ushered in and was just completed, introducing us into the Age of Aquarius approximately in 2013. As a matter of fact, every age has a spiritual icon or deity that represents the beginning of a new age. We know that all the constellations were depicted in the ancient Maya, Zep Tepi, Kali Yuga calendars better known today as the zodiac. website for universal truth - http://www.369universe.com PLEASE Consider making a Donation Thank you :) PayPal Donation Link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=6QHHNJVALEQDN

7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art

08:18
7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art These are 7 SECRET Messages Hidden in Famous Art such as The Last Supper, a painting of Bill Clinton, and more. Narration provided by JaM Advertising New Mexico www.tasteofjam.com Leonardo Da Vinci was a man of many talents; he was an inventor, architect, scientist, sculptor, and of course an artist. But there’s one more talent Da Vinci is known for which may have been hidden in one of his most famous works, The Last Supper, and that talent was music. Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam is one of the most iconic images in human history, depicting the Book of Genesis scene where God breathes life into Adam…through his fingers obviously, because a painting of the Lord Almighty going mouth to mouth with Adam may have been a little risqué for the walls of the Sistine Chapel. But in 1990 an American physician Dr Frank Meshberger noticed something familiar about the area surrounding God. What is that weird shape that the Lord seems to be crowdsurfing out from? Take a look at this image of Domenico Ghirlandaio’s painting the Madonna with Saint Giovannino and see what catches your eye immediately. Is it the attractive lady in the centre, perhaps it’s the baby with the low slung slacks trying to give her a high five while an angel baby checks out his sweet six pack. That kid is more ripped than I’ll ever be. Or maybe the first thing you noticed was the strange object hovering in the sky, and the dude below it wondering what the hell it is. 4.) A Message For The Pope This is Michelangelo’s The Prophet Zechariah, and it was painted in the Sistine Chapel in 1512 during the reign of Pope Julius the second. Now to say Pope Julius wasn’t everybody’s favourite is a bit like saying people thought the new Call of Duty trailer looked a little crappy. Julius the second was known as Il Papa Terrible, and you can translate that for yourself. But Michelangelo wasn’t a fan either, and it is believed that he painted Zechariah in a way which closely resembles Pope Julius. So we already know that Leonardo Da Vinci likes to hide musical scores in his work, but what secrets could possibly remain hidden in the Mona Lisa, one of the world’s most famous pictures of someone being forced to smile on picture day? Many theories have been thrown around regarding the layout of the picture, such as the idea that Mona Lisa was pregnant due to the arrangements of her hands, that she may have been a prostitute due to her lack of facial hair, and when the image was analysed by a doctor he noticed that Mona Lisa may have been suffering from a tumour in her right eye, a tumour Da Vinci clearly must’ve noticed, so did he tell her? This is a portrait of former President Bill Clinton which hangs in the Smithsonian Natural Portrait Gallery, and its artist Nelson Shanks has admitted that hidden within the painting is a reference to one of the most shocking moments of Clinton’s presidency. 1.) The Mysterious Musical Maestro This is a painting of classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart when he was just six years old. The painting was created by Pietro Antonio Lorenzoni in 1763, but did you know that the way Mozart is depicted hints at his membership of the world’s most secretive society? The mysterious Freemasons.

Another Secret Revealed !!! (Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci)

This is my discovery and this video was made by myself. I hope that someone will analyze it and see that I am right and maybe come with more proves, maybe a 3D replica of the painting. I found this by just looking at a photo with the painting and it`s only in the photos taken from the original painting. It does not appear in other copies because nobody noticed the 14th man holding the knife. If you have questions leave comments and I`ll probably answer. All the credits to me :P and Leonardo Da Vinci of course for making such a master piece! Update: It will seem important that I also tell you that the 14th man is sitting somehow in Judas` lap (no 4) (I can also think of Judas` alter ego, he did betray Jesus after all.) What did Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" really look like? | DW Documentary

42:26
Leonardo's famous painting "The Last Supper" hides a secret: only 20 percent of the original work is still visible. In the style of a thriller, the documentary attempts to reconstruct what it originally looked like. Leonardo da Vinci was the epitome of the Renaissance Man. May 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of his death. The artist created world-famous works such as the fresco "The Last Supper" - perhaps the most famous. It is still in its original setting, on the wall of the dining room of the former Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The painting, which is 4.60 meters high and 8.80 meters wide, has been undergoing restoration for the last 19 years. But the restorers now know that only 20 percent of the original is visible today. So what did something that is the focus of so many legends originally look like? Our investigation also takes us to the small Belgian abbey of Tongerlo, where a mysterious copy of da Vinci's work has been discovered. It is a painting on canvas that could have been commissioned from da Vinci’s workshop by the French King Louis XII. It has perhaps brought the researchers a step closer to the truth. _______ DW Documentary gives you knowledge beyond the headlines. Leonardo Da Vinci's "Hidden Music" in The Last Supper (Mousanz Interpretation)

00:53
My interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci's "hidden music" from 'The Last Supper'. Info about this interpretation: - The theory is that each bread on the table as well as each hand is interpreted as a note. - This interpretation was inspired by Giovanni Maria Pala's research, but it's a completely different interpretation. - This adaptation claims in NO way to be accurate or definite. It's just my very own subjective adaptation in which I evidently took lots of liberties and made various assumptions. - The piece is in 3/4. The reason for this is that the Apostles seem to be divided in 4 groups of 3. - The piece is in Gm (originally transcribed in Am). The original interpretation came out in Am, taking the far rights Apostle's hand as Clef Note point. The reason I transposed it to Gm was that it had a warmer sound (to me, anyway) in that key. - The transcription was made reading from Right to Left, following Leonardo's way of writing. - The piece has exactly 8 bars and it's played on a (MIDI) Piano even though it would have probably been intended to be played on a Harpsichord or sung by a Gregorian Choir. - Most notes are interpreted as Quarter Notes. However, there are some exceptions. My only criteria to make notes have a different value was the distance between them. Notes that are too close to each other are interpreted as Eighth Notes. - There's a very short dissonance in the 4th bar which might appear to be a mistake. However, this is how my interpretation read it and, to be honest, I quite like the chaotic feel it gives to the piece. - This interpretation is labeled as 'Mousanz Interpretation' as 'Mousanz' is the name I choose to put most of my artistic works under. Who knows if this is really what Leonardo's piece was intended to sound like (if there is really such a piece)! Regardless, it was a fun music exercise for me and I hope it is an enjoyable alternative to the other interpretations out there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on the comments below! PS= I am currently working on a full-length adaptation/expansion of this piece with full orchestration. Stay tuned for it! *Katsumi Kotoda, 2015

The Last Supper

06:02
http://www.mormonchannel.org/watch/series/bible-videos Meeting in an upper room with His disciples, Jesus washes their feet, institutes the sacrament, and commands them to love one another. John 13: 1-35 1 Now before the feast of the passover , when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; 3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; 4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. 5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. 9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean , but not all. 11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. 12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master , have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet . 15 For I have given you an example , that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. 18 ¶I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. 19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he. 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. 23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples , whom Jesus loved. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. 25 He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? 26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop , when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. 28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him. 29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag , that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. 30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night. 31 ¶Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. The Last Supper - Mysteries of the Bible

39:11
The Last Supper - Mysteries of the Bible The Last Supper is the final meal that, in the Gospel accounts, Jesus shared with his Apostles in Jerusalem before his crucifixion. The Last Supper is commemorated by Christians especially on Maundy Thursday. The Last Supper provides the scriptural basis for the Eucharist, also known as "Holy Communion" or "The Lord's Supper". The First Epistle to the Corinthians contains the earliest known mention of the Last Supper. The four canonical Gospels all state that the Last Supper took place towards the end of the week, after Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and that Jesus and his Apostles shared a meal shortly before Jesus was crucified at the end of that week. During the meal Jesus predicts his betrayal by one of the Apostles present, and foretells that before the next morning, Peter will deny knowing him Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRkBJJeFIPiuYBMLW4FYkTw Series of Great Miracle and The Mary: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKHUF1DTmAp9B6O4_enHjIQUGHz8myfUZ

The da Vinci puzzle: Restoring The Last Supper - BBC News

04:03
In the spring of 1999 a small team of experts, led by the renowned Italian art restorer Pinin Brambilla, concluded the mammoth task of restoring Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece, The Last Supper. Da Vinci had been commissioned to paint the fresco on a wall in Milan's convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in 1498. But due to his poor choice of materials, paint had begun to flake off even during his lifetime. Brambilla's restoration involved removing five layers of paint from previous botched restorations and restoring key features and objects. The painstaking job of cleaning, dabbing and repainting the four-and-a-half metre high fresco cost millions of dollars and took Pinin and her colleagues more than 20 years. Now in her 90s, Pinin Brambilla, who still works in her studio in Milan, told Witness about this labour of love that consumed half of her professional life. A picture of Leonardo da Vinci, the truth of Last Supper! secrets

04:52
"A picture of Leonardo da Vinci, the truth of Last Supper" ※The sentence to give here uses a translation site. Because you may be hard to understand a meaning, please permit the point. Nice to meet you, everybody. My name is "Purio". I challenged a demystification of the picture "last supper" which Leonardo da Vinci drew in order to solve a mystery of the Bible. For all of you, as for talking now, it will be in very unbelievable contents. It was said that he described Jesus and the Last Supper of 12 pupils in the general recognition as a famous scene of the Bible. However, the reason why it could be hardly said that I described the last supper became clear when I read the Bible well. It understood that I described the totally different scene. When a conclusion said earlier, it described the scene which appeared to pupils who gathered after Jesus revived for the first time. At first the person drawn on the place is Bartholomew, James, son of Alphaeus, Andrew, Simon Peter, Philip, Magdalene, Jesus, Thomas, James, son of the Zebedee, John, Matthew, Thaddeus, Simon Cananeus from the left side. Judas Iscariot is not drawn on this picture anymore here because I commit suicide. In fact, it is the truth so far that the person considered to be John is Magdalene. ------------------------------------------------ ×→ It is written in the John Gospel that she is a beloved pupil of another Jesus clearly. 〇→ She has been written to be a disciple of another person dear Jesus in the Gospel of John. ------------------------------------------------ In addition, the different truth becomes clear from this thing. In fact, John did not take over mother Mary of Jesus. It was Mary Magdalene. Therefore, John was not in the hill of Golgotha. Other Gospel historiographers and Jesus prove this. After all Magdalene might be married to Jesus. Then I explain it in order. Please watch a plate put in front of Jesus first. Why will the plate empty? The reason is because I have finished eating a meal taken out. I understand that I open slightly when I watch lips of Jesus. This seems to do a belch. What kind of action does the next want to take if you finish eating a meal? I will be going to take drink this time. Jesus seems to be going to take the wine by the right hand. And the left hand turns to the upper part. I see a nail trace when I watch the hand well. Thomas puts a right hand forefinger in the nail trace in the left hand of Jesus next and seems to want to confirm it. Jesus eats a meal, and James, son of the Zebedee seems to be surprised. I seem to be pleased that John watches it. Thaddeus and Simon Cananeus seem to doubt that Jesus revived. Religious Thomas will urge Jesus to look carefully. I am surprised that Bartholomew watches a Jesus and seem to remain standing. Andrew seems to be excited to see Jesus very in wonder. Magdalene seems to feel relieved to see Jesus. And it is called out to Peter and listens to it. Peter thinks that it is an impostor to see Jesus and I take a dagger and seem to be going to murder you. As for this dagger, Peter chipped the ear of the soldier at a garden of Gethsemane. And I take out a forefinger with putting a hand on the shoulder of Magdalene. This seems to confirm whether Jesus is genuine. Because Magdalene is the person who watched the Jesus that revived first, Peter will confirm it. Philip where the voices sounded like was surprised. Thus I seem to turn around towards Magdalene. In fact, Philip was a person left management of the money to in Jesus. Therefore a state having a white money bag is drawn. James, son of Alphaeus puts a hand on the shoulder to settle to Peter with Andrew or is going to put it. Because the James was a cousin of Jesus, I would perceive that Jesus was not genuine. Therefore he would remain quite calm. Everybody was able to see Jesus who appeared before these pupils like another person unlike a figure during the lifetime. This picture was the thing which expressed the state of the heart of pupils when Jesus right revived and appeared. In fact, would not he be the another person who looked just like the person himself during the lifetime? In other words it might be real brothers of Jesus. Then what would his hand and wound in the side be? Would not it be Stigma? According to the Bible, Jesus tells that the revival is not a meaning that the body revives. It was the physical meaning that I continued living for as the soul forever posthumously. For example, there was the story that Jesus brought back Lazarus. This was to prove that it gave life to the soul forever to revive the body again to pupils. If so, consistency matches all a description of the Bible. In other words, as for Jesus, the body will not revive. Thank you for your hearing till the last. ※imitation(×) → impostor(○) A place of the inspection blog is this place. → http://utyujintoufononazo.seesaa.net/

It was created in 1497. It is currently situated on the same wall where the author painted it. It is believed that this sacred painting hides countless religious codes, which, because of the Inquisition of the Catholic Church prevailing at that time, the genius had to encrypt. If we begin to analyze the disciples around Jesus Christ in the work, we can see that Tadeo, the penultimate man on the right, has the same facial features as Leonardo. The disciple who is located at the far right is Simon Zealot and his face is too similar to the copy of the bust of the philosopher Plato, who has always been spurned by Catholicism. The third man is Thomas, whom Leonardo wanted to represent as the twin of Jesus. Not only Da Vinci believed it, but also many scholars of early Christianity. In fact, the name Thomas means twin in Aramaic. The most noteworthy mystery in the whole work of the Last Supper, is that of Mary Magdalene, who is sitting to the right of Christ and clearly is a woman, and the space formed between the two, suggests a subliminal chalice. But Peter's knife cannot be left behind in the symbolic and coded elements of the paint. What's odd about it is the position in which Peter is holding the dagger. And finally, the absence of halos demarcates a human sense that Leonardo wanted them to have, adapting these Bible characters, considering that up to that point throughout the years, all sacred paintings depicted the saints with halos. Obviously, this detail is not something that was merely neglected by the genius. Image sources: expositionmilano2015.com; ytimg.com; najoth.org; wordpress.com; wordpress.com.

Truth Hidden In Plain Site For 500 Years!!! (The Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci)

04:56
DaVinci said that the microcosm is a reflection of the macrocosm, for example comparing the human body to the universe. In The Last Supper, Leonardo compared the ideal human, Jesus Christ, to the observable star path of the sun, on earth as in heaven, as the Lord’s Prayer puts it. In view of the charges of heresy levelled against comparisons between Jesus Christ and the Sun, it is not surprising that Leonardo did not make this esoteric source public. What is surprising is that this pattern, the real Da Vinci Code, has been sitting in front of people for five hundred years but we have been unable to see it. 5 Secret Codes Hidden in Famous Paintings!

04:54
Historically, painters have been considered some of the most intelligent people on Earth. Before modernity, artists and poets were also skilled mathematicians, historians, scientists, and inventors, and just as artists and writers today hide secret messages in their movies, music, and books, artists of yesteryear included their own secret messages in their paintings. These are 5 secret codes hidden in famous paintings! Let’s begin! 5.) The Final Reckoning, The Last Supper The Last Supper is a painting famous for its possible hidden meanings. The Last Supper was created by Leonardo DaVinci, from which the DaVinci code was named. While a number of theories exist about possible messages, alternative interpretations, and hidden meanings, the most interest and least overexposed is that the painting of Jesus’s last moments with his followers might actually include Da Vinci’s prediction of the end of the world. According to Da Vinci, the world would end because of a flood, similar to that in the Bible. It’s believed that math in the geometric shapes within the Last Supper might point to the time of the end of the world - 4006 A.D. 4.) Painting of John Dee http://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/a-painting-of-john-dee-astrologer-to-queen-elizabeth-i-contains-a-hidden-ring-of-skulls-180957860/ John Dee was an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. While he studied math and astronomy, he also an Occultist and magician to the Queen herself, and some even consider him the inspiration for James Bond due to his signature which was 007. One famous painting of John Dee was created by a Victorian painter named Henry Gillard Glindoni displayed a courtroom scene where Dee would is performing a magical ritual in front of Elizabeth and her guests. What you can’t see is the secret circle of skulls hidden within the painting, which was only later revealed once the painting was x-rayed. Creepier even, is the fact that the skulls appear to have an ethereal, fiery or smoky quality to them. We’ll never know why those skulls are there, and why the painter removed them. 3.) Madonna with Saint Giovannino, Aliens If UFOs are the product of extraterrestrial life, it stands to reason that perhaps, just maybe, they have visited earth longer than we’ve realized - perhaps sightings of UFOs go back hundreds or even thousands of years ago, and it’s only because of differences in language and culture that we don’t realize it. Could it be, perhaps, that UFOs were considered then to be products of the supernatural or spiritual? In this painting, arguments have been made that a UFO can be seen in the background of this painting. Just behind Mary’s head, a UFO can be seen in the background, surrounding by a glowing white, with a bystander covering his eyes from it. Could this painting, credited to an artist named Ghirlandaio, signal some type of association between Christianity and extraterrestrials or UFOs? We may never know. 2.) Et in Arcadia ego Et in Arcadia ego, or The Arcadian Shepherds, is a painting that depicts shepherds who have come across a tomb, was created by an artist named Poussin. The tomb bears the inscription, “Even in Arcadia, there am I,” and this has led some people to suggest the location of a secret treasure. That treasure might be the body of a knight templar, the body of Jesus Christ himself, the location of the holy grail, or some other historic artifact of religious significance. It may also point the way to treasure. It’s believed that the physical scenery of the location reflects the location of the real life treasure, and a coded message found near the location may have said “Poussin holds the key.” 1.) Sistine Chapel The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is likely Michelangelo’s most famous work, a living landmark that you can still go and see today in the Vatican. The painting was commissioned from Michelangelo by the Catholic church, but it actually contains quite a few hidden, coded messages that let us know how Michelangelo really felt about his employers. One of the most famous alleged codes is in the Creation of Adam, which is actually believed to reflect the morphology of the human brain, and other paintings are said to include images of the nervous system. The painting of David and Goliath is said to feature secret Hebrew glyphs. Best of all - one of the paintings includes an image of an angel giving the Pope the finger. Another Secret Revealed !!! (Last Supper, Leonardo Da Vinci)

03:01
This is my discovery and this video was made by myself. I hope that someone will analyze it and see that I am right and maybe come with more proves, maybe a 3D replica of the painting. I found this by just looking at a photo with the painting and it`s only in the photos taken from the original painting. It does not appear in other copies because nobody noticed the 14th man holding the knife. If you have questions leave comments and I`ll probably answer. All the credits to me :P and Leonardo Da Vinci of course for making such a master piece! Update: It will seem important that I also tell you that the 14th man is sitting somehow in Judas` lap (no 4) (I can also think of Judas` alter ego, he did betray Jesus after all.) Author's hands on computer - pan up to screen showing image from CD 7. SOUNDBITE(Italian) Giovanni Maria Pala, Author of The Hidden Music "The concealed music in the painting comes out from a symbolic bond, between the bread and the hands of the apostles. It is a strong bond, because the bread hints at the body of Christ, the hands are the instrument of eucharistic consecration. Moreover also in the Roman Canon when the priest pronounces these words: 'He took the bread in his hands, holy and venerable hands,' these have a fundamental significance, there should have been something else uniting this whole, and this whole was just the bread and the hands alluding to the body of Christ." 8. The Last Supper, fade into painting with red circles highlighting hands and bread on table of painting, image from the CD 9. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Giovanni Maria Pala, Author of The Hidden Music "The Last Supper represents the Passion (of Jesus), simply a music to underline its pace had to be a dramatic music, that's why this music sounds like a requiem.'' SOUNDBITE (Italian) Nadia Coppola, Owner Croce Bookshop: "Concerning all this kind of attention on Leonardo, maybe people like me working in bookshops look down a little bit on all of this, because when there is too much attention on a topic it always makes you think of something partially done for commercial purposes." 15. Exterior Croce Bookshop MUSICAL LAST SUPPER An Italian musician and computer technician claims to have uncovered musical notes encoded in Leonardo Da Vinci's painting The Last Supper, raising the possibility that the Renaissance genius might have left behind a musical composition to accompany the scene depicted in the 15th-century wall painting. "It sounds like a requiem," said Giovanni Maria Pala. " It's like a soundtrack that emphasises the Passion (of Jesus)." Painted from 1494 to 1498 in Milan's Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the "Last Supper" captures a key moment in the Gospel narration of Jesus' last meal with the 12 Apostles before his arrest and crucifixion, vividly depicting the shock of Christ's followers as they learn that one of them is about to betray him. Pala, a 45-year-old musician who lives near the southern Italian city of Lecce, began studying Leonardo's painting in 2003, after hearing on a news program that researchers believed the artist and inventor had hidden a musical composition in the work. In a book released on Friday in Italy, Pala explained how he interpreted elements of the painting that have symbolic value in Christian theology as musical clues. Pala first saw that by drawing the five lines of a musical staff across the painting, the loaves of bread on the table as well as the hands of Jesus and the Apostles could each represent a musical note. "The concealed music in the painting comes out from a symbolic bond, between the bread and the hands of the apostles," he told AP Television.
