The Consistency Principle - The Six Principles of Influence

04:10
Consistency: You may have noticed that backing out of promises or deals always brings about a sense of unpleasantness and dread. This is because people are habitual beings and like to be consistent. Simply put, consistency refers to the fact that people like to act in line with the things they have already said or done. If they do not, that creates a sensation in the mind psychologists refer to as Cognitive Dissonance. This is an unpleasant state of being, and people try hard to avoid entering, by adjusting their behaviours and matching them to attitudes and actions as they go along. Additional pressure to be consistent comes also from the fact that society largely views inconsistency as an undesirable trait, and often associates it with indecisiveness and even intellectual weakness. There is tons of research in social psychology that clearly identifies the success of this strategy. For example, having a group of students write speeches describing the dangers of AIDS and the importance of condom use, and then recite them in front of their peers, increased the likelihood of these students to use condoms in the future. So, the students had already made a commitment, both personally when writing the speeches, and publicly, when presenting them, and they needed to adjust their behavior accordingly. This worked even better if they were also asked to list any occasions when they had failed to use protection – that elevated their need to rectify the inconsistent behavior. So, the takeaway from this really is that the individual who is looking to use the commitment principle to get their ideas across, is looking for a small initial commitment. In an ideal world, this commitment will be made voluntarily; the person who is agreeing to it would be actively engaged in the process, and the deal would be sealed in writing. But even in suboptimal situations, where not all of the above are present, the principle still holds strong and is very effective! The Social Proof Principle The Six Principles of Influence

04:26
Social Proof - put simply, there is a general tendency that when people find themselves in a situation of uncertainty, when they are not sure how to act, they look at the environment around them to find cues and guidance. Like laughter from a ghost audience. And they are especially influenced by people of their own age and status. This type of reasoning is what’s driving the success of websites and applications like Yelp, TripAdvisor, and “like-a-local” guides. People like to rely on the experience and opinion of like-minded people to guide their own decisions and actions. There is an excellent experiment that demonstrates the utility of this principle in action. The main goal of the study was to try to get people who are staying at a hotel in Arizona to reuse their towels. Four reasons were given to four different groups of guests, each appealing to a different thing: the environment, prospective donation of end-of-year laundry savings, an already completed donation, or the fact that the majority of the hotel guests reused their towel at least once per stay. One driving force behind social proof is the need to belong to a social group. Humans base about two-thirds of their self-image on the social groups they are part of. It stands to reason that when a situation occurs that makes us feel uncertain, we re-evaluate ourselves and start thinking on behalf of the group it makes sense to be a part of for this decision. For example, if choosing between several hair products an individual can ask themselves “What would make sense for me, as a young college graduate on a budget who cares about quality?” She would go with the choice that fits this description the best, and many others in her position will too. One very clever strategy used in TV ads was to change the usual tagline from “Operators are standing by” to “If our lines are busy, please call again”. At this point you can probably guess what that accomplished. This simple switch conveyed that many others are also calling in, thus the product or service must be very desirable and you will not be placing your eggs into the wrong basket if you also trust it. An easy way to convey a similar message in an increasingly online world is by introducing counters on your web platform, for example, of how many people have bought or support the product. Think about Kickstarter – the “funded in one day” banner on a project fulfils this exact purpose. And it is super effective! The Reciprocation Principle - The Six Principles of Influence

05:06
Reciprocation is an extremely effective technique to stimulate a relationship of favor-giving and compliance. It works in a very straight-forward way: you should try to repay, in kind, what another person has provided to you. At a glance, not much to it, right? In reality, however, this rule has stood the test of time like no other, and has been a driving force in society from as early as the first written historical documents date. What all of this essentially means, is that if a colleague invites you to their house warming, it becomes your obligation to invite them to a gathering of your own. If a friend does you a favor, you should do one in return, and so on. The reciprocity rule is so strongly entrenched in our society that we become obliged to repay kindnesses, invitations, and gifts. And the best aspect of it is that when under a feeling of obligation, individuals are much more likely to say yes to a request! At the core of the rule is that it enforces uninvited debts. For example, studies and experience have shown time and again that a marketing strategy that has a free sample component creates a relationship of indebtedness between the merchant and the buyer. The strategy is effective because the person who receives the unexpected gift has a few limited options to reciprocate. Depending on what the context is, the individual can either agree to listen to the product’s description, donate to the cause being presented to them, or, say, tip their waiter or waitress more money. This technique is based on a very simple principle: you maximize your chances of receiving a “yes!” by first making a larger request that will most likely be turned down. After the refusal, you make a smaller request, which is actually what you were initially interested in. At this point your conversation partner will likely be feeling like you made a concession and somehow did them a favor, therefore creating a need in them to respond with a concession of their own, and the only option they have immediately available to them would be your second request. One thing you could do is remember that you only need to reciprocate the favor for what it actually is. In that sense, if the initial gift turns out to simply be a device or a trick devised to motivate us to return the favor with interest, then it is not a gift and doesn’t need to be returned. The reciprocation rule states “Meet a favor with a favor”. It does not say, however, respond to a trick with a favor. The six principles of magic

01:19
I'm working on a "lightning presentation" on the Science of Magic: I only have 8 minutes to talk about the neuroscience behind magic effects, and I also want to perform something. As I was playing around with a quick routine to include, I remembered Fitzke's principles of magic, and Penn and Teller's "seven principles of sleight of hand" routine, and an idea started forming in my head. Once all the kinks are worked out and the pattern tight, I will be able to perform this whole thing in less than a minute. As it is, it goes slightly over... Of course, this is just an initial working idea, not quite polished in handling or presentation yet, but I welcome suggestions on how to improve the handling of the various bits.

Six Principles of Global Manipulation

11:00
http://dotu.ru/category/in-english/ What is Globalization? In the 20th century the human race was confronted with such a natural phenomenon as globalization. Globalization can be defined as the process of concentration of power over all the mankind in one person or a small group. This process has been under way throughout the whole human history and is now near completion. Centuries ago Ancient Egyptian priests became aware that globalization can be controlled. They have worked out the overall principles and patterns of controlling society to achieve their own goals, and headed up this process. Let us take a look at how globalization process is being controlled now. Principle 6. Weapon of War. "War is the continuation of politics by other means" -- Karl von Clausewitz The oldest and fastest way of controlling people has always been the war. The object of any war is the conquest of territories, wealth, human resources or complete elimination of enemy. World history has witnessed a great number of brutal wars. Principle 5. Weapon of Genocide. "All the crimes on Earth do not destroy so many of the human race, nor alienate so much property, as drunkenness" -- Sir Francis Bacon The next step in the process of globalization was the transition from "hot wars" waged by ordinary weapons to "cold wars" waged through the so called "cultural co-operation". It's possible to completely eliminate or subdue a whole nation to one's own will by means of such genocide weapons as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, several types of vaccines and genetically modified foods. Yet to keep people unaware of the destructive nature of these weapons they have been disguised as superficially harmless means of relaxation, stress relief, amusement and acquiring immunity to disease. This idea is being inculcated in the minds through culture, mass media, and specially planted proverbs and tokens. In reality these substances are dangerous poisons undermining the genetics of the human species, destroying the human being both morally and physically, wiping out the existing and future generations. Principle 4. Economical. "Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws" -- Mayer Amschel Rothschild" Globalizers see no point in destroying nations completely. They are better off leaving a part of the slaves' population alive having subdued its economics to their narrow clannish interests, but also in such the manner that a nation hasn't the slightest idea of what is really going on. This can be done through universal money and the institution of credit, by means of usurious interest rates that allow the bankers' clans to receive skyrocketing profits from credit interest without creating any values for the society, while other people, their families, entire nations have to spend their lives paying off debt and essentially become slaves. Principle 3. Factual. "There are no facts, only interpretations"-- Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche A whole nation or separate social classes can be ruled much more efficiently after being brainwashed with various ideologies, religious dogmas, sociological doctrines and mass media. Some are subconsciously inculcated with e.g. the theory of Karl Marx, the second with "Allah Akbar", the third with "Christ is Risen", the fourth with "Live Fast, Die Young". And if need be at some point in time people start being collided by activation of inherent contradictions using some special techniques such as provocations, assassinations, scandalous news articles, caricatures or deliberate mistakes, which seem to be accidental from outside. For example, we are now witnessing the attempts to set the traditional Islam and Biblical Christianity against each other, despite the belief shared by quite a number of world religions that God, the Creator, the Almighty is One for all creatures of the Earth. Principle 2. Chronological. "Look behind in the past more often to avoid big mistakes in the future"-- Kozma Prutkov It is common knowledge that one who has forgotten the history of his Motherland is like a tree with no roots. But what would happen if a whole nation forgot its history or accepted some historical myth imposed on it by external hostile elements. To quote George Orwell, "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past". Rewriting of a nations history inevitably leads to alteration of its future.. Principle 1. Ideological (worldview). "If you want to defeat your enemy bring up his children"-- oriental wisdom Conquest of a nation will become most steady, effective and almost irreversible if one manages to somehow alter its worldview nationwide, so that the nation willfully serves the interests of the invaders, considering them a part of their normal life. "This world a hollow pageant you should deem; All wise men know things are not what they seem; Be of good cheer, and drink, and so shake off This vain illusion of a baseless dream" Omar Khayyam

Boost Your Leadership with These Six Principles

04:49
Please watch: "The ONE Thing Every Christian Should Be Doing But Most Are NOT!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slK6HI8tUTY --~-- Boost Your Leadership with These Six Principles QUESTION: What are the qualities that separate leaders from great leaders? Today I want to show you how to maximize your leadership potential. Many of us find ourselves in leadership positions even if we don’t want to be, whether it may be at work, our own business, at church or at home. I’ve been blessed to be around some amazing leaders. And so today I want to point out 6 qualities from the life of Jesus that every great leader I know possesses and the first is… 1. Leaders possess…PASSION a. Jesus was passionate about what He was leading. One time He even went into the temple and flipped over all of the tables (Mt. 21:12) b. A great leader exhibits passion. One of the reasons why the morale on certain teams is low is because the morale of the leader is low. c. If you want to maximize your leadership potential be sure you are passionate about what you’re leading and that you communicate that passion to your team. 2. Leaders win with…PEOPLE a. Every great leader knows how to win with people. b. Communication i. Clear – People on your team should not have to ask you questions about things that should have been communicated to them. ii. Consistent – For a leader there is no such thing as too much communication. People would rather hear from you too much than not at all. Over-communication is a leader’s best friend. iii. Compelling – Does it call people to action? iv. Charismatic – “Spoke as one having authority” There was something about the way Jesus spoke that crowds gathered around Him. Great leaders are often great speakers. c. Motivation – This involves getting the best out of people and making them feel important to where they want to do what they can to help you. d. Delegation – A leader understands the principle of multiplication and making others feel empowered to carry out your vision. 3. Leaders see…POSSIBILITIES a. In other words great leaders aren’t afraid to take risks to do what’s never been done before. b. Jesus was attempting to do something that had never been done in the history of time which was to unite Jews and Gentiles together. That was a risk… c. But in order to be a risk taker you must first overcome your fear of failure. 4. Leaders solve…PROBLEMS a. Every great leader is able to not only solve problems but they have the discernment to foresee and plan for them before they come. b. Jesus foresaw the problem of sin and executed a plan to solve it by dying on the cross for our sins. 5. Leaders exhibit…PERSEVERANCE a. Jesus was on a mission to fulfill His divine purpose of dying on the cross. He didn’t allow opposition to deter him from his mission. b. Anything you attempt to do for God or just in general you will encounter opposition. Great leaders may get discouraged but not deterred. 6. Leaders demonstrate…PROGRESS – Lk. 2:52 – The Bible says even Jesus grew in wisdom… a. A great leader recognizes that they must always be progressing to stay ahead of the people they lead. This means that a leader is always a reader and a leader is always a learner. b. See 1 Tim. 4:12 So I pray that you would use this as a checklist to grade your leadership as you strive to maximize your leadership capacity. I’d love to hear your thoughts on leadership leave them in the comment section below. 🔴🦈 How to Swim Faster The Six Principles of Fast Swimming

07:15
Have you been wondering how to swim faster for months or even years without ever finding a satisfactory answer? If this is the case, well, you are in good company. This video describes six principles that will allow you to swim faster without becoming exhausted too quickly. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/modosaluddeporte/ Swimming Smarter not Harder For many coaches, swimming faster is the result of gradually increasing the length and intensity of swimming workouts so that the general fitness level increases. While conditioning has its place, this is not all there is about swimming faster, because swimming is a very technical sport. There are a few gifted swimmers that instinctively learn how to move efficiently in the water. Given enough time and practice, they will always improve. So what do we need to do? In fact, to learn how to swim faster and better with less effort, we need to swim smarter, not harder. Specifically, we need to work on two facets of our technique: We need to decrease drag in the water. We need to improve propulsion in the water. Decreasing Drag The importance of swimming with the least amount of drag is often neglected. However, this is an area where we can greatly improve our efficiency in the water. Water is much more dense than air. Drag in the water increases by the square of the speed at which we swim. So there is quickly an upper limit on how much force we can apply against the water to increase our speed. On the other hand, reducing drag requires skill rather than force. So there’s a lot of room for improvement there. That’s why it should be the first priority for learning how to swim faster. Principle #1: Improving Your Balance The first and most efficient way to decrease drag is to improve your balance. This means that you try to stay as horizontal as possible while moving through the water. When you do this, you disrupt the least amount of water molecules on your path, which translates into reduced drag. As an example, while swimming freestyle, swimmers often lift their head to breathe or look ahead. When they do this, they lose balance and their hips and legs drop. Their body is less streamlined and generates more drag while moving through the water. Additionally, they need to kick harder to keep those legs up. Needless to say, a lot of energy is wasted while doing this. Note that being as horizontal as possible is especially important for the freestyle stroke and backstroke. For the breaststroke and butterfly stroke, things are a little bit different because of the body undulation that is used in those latter strokes. Principle #2: Swimming Taller The next way to decrease drag is to make yourself as tall as possible in the water. The theory behind this is that for the same mass, a long tapered object moving through the water creates less turbulence than a short compact object. In fact this principle has been used by naval engineers since hundreds of years. To swim taller in the freestyle stroke, you enter your recovering arm early in the water once it has passed your head. You also make sure to completely extend your recovering arm forward underwater before starting the downsweep and catch. Principle #3: Compact and Efficient Kick In world-class front crawl swimmers, the kick contributes for up to 10% of propulsion, while the arm stroke contributes for the rest. So an efficient kick is important for fast swimming, but less than what is commonly believed. Improving Propulsion Once you have reduced drag to a minimum, you can work on improving your propulsion. Again, this is mainly done by improving your swim stroke mechanics, not by building bigger muscles. Principle #4: Swimming More on Your Sides The first way to improve propulsion is to roll more from side to side with each arm stroke. Rolling more on your sides allows you to better engage the large back muscles in addition to the shoulder muscles. However, floating on your side is counter-intuitive at first and requires some practice for getting used to. Principle #5: Using Your Core This is another secret of how to swim faster. You should engage the large back, hip and torso muscles while rolling from side to side. The synergy between your core muscles and arm muscles allows you to apply more force to your swim stroke. It is a little bit like a baseball pitcher when he throws the ball: first his body twists backward, then his hips initiate a rotation forward which is channeled through his upper body into his shoulder, arm, hand and finally into the ball, with an acceleration at each step. Once you have integrated this technique, you will be able to swim longer and faster and tire less quickly, as your core muscles have more endurance than the ones in your shoulders and arms. This swimming technique is often called the “high elbow catch” in the freestyle stroke That’s it, you now know the principles of how to swim faster with less effort music: Dj Quads - Dreams https://soundcloud.com/aka-dj-quads

Morgenthau's Six Principles in Hindi | Morgenthau Realism in Hindi | Morgenthau 6 Principles of Realism in Hindi ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whatsapp: 8054654550 My Contact : 8054654550 UGC NET Political Science in Hindi Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDJEnnXw1z0daXWTZvC3FSDPuG9wQeYOu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the first principle, human nature has been spoken ---- Human Nature walks with certain rules, Yaniki always has the same way of doing it. And the nature of this nature is - self centered, self related and self interest Think of completing your own hit Yankee Second thing Politics is like a society and society runs through the rules of human nature, so understanding humanity is essential to understanding politics, and then only logic can be made and principles are made. Only after understanding human nature, the rational principles can be made in the field of politics 2 In the second theory, the interests of the state and the state have been discussed, according to National Interest first things first National Hitos are defined as national power The Kyca national hits are always received by the national power History is its witness that nations always use power to fulfill their hits. Next thing is related to it The basis of foreign policy formation is national hit or power and not ideology Now see here ideology has been considered as smaller than the interests The nature of the policies of the countries is different but their purpose is the same and that is to fulfill the national Hitto, which they do not do. Raj leaders do not make policies like ideology specially, but form the basis of ideology, ideology is a form of hatchery, as far as the hit is enough, BS works according to ideology till the same. Realistic believe that the conflict between China and Russia at the time of Sheet War was not a think tank but a conflict of interest Cold War was also the usa - the hitting of Hetto of Russia The role of ideology in inter-national politics is less and more of the interests ---- This second principle is the fundamental principle of 6 principles and it says that hits are the power of the nation 3 At the national level, always the conflict continues. Secondly the interests are always variable National interest and their nature constantly change Are not affected by the situation on national interest but rather fight against status It changes the nature of the interest you listen to, but some interests remain constant, such as safety etc., it is permanent 4 Ethical theories can not be applied to the work of the state Even if the state is a major form of human, the state does not work according to the human moral standards - States can not leave their interests for ethical values Mani added to change level according to time. If the circumstances are favorable, then they behave ethically but struggle for power 5 This is also about morality There is a difference in the ethics and universal moral values of a nation A state runs according to ethics, but its ethics has its own distinct criteria, different ethics and different countries But every single nation tries to look at it that its policy is made according to universal ethics. Nations show up on ethics 6 This is about the Last Legend Realism There are serious differences in realism and the remaining political views Realism works like a mirror, which is what it looks like a mirror; it is neither a part of the political science nor history, it is a self-destruct, which studies the ongoing struggle in the states. 6 Principles of Morgenthau
