I feel insulted like my life sucks because of my fashion choice? This is what we're teaching the youth??
Honestly I sound really old but like why waste a perfectly good sweatshirt you could snuggle next to bae in? Those holes be stealing my warmth!!
One big problem- the majority of those projects will fall apart pretty quickly, leaving you with literal rags. You have hem any fabric edges or they will fray and unravel, particularly in the wash machine. You can do a rolled hem, where you roll the fabric and stitch it, like shown in one of the projects here. Or you can bias tape from a craft store and stitch that over the raw edge. (Bias tape comes in several versions, you want the double folded one. It’s folded in half, so you just slip the fabric into the bias tape then stitch it down.) Both options will give the clothing a bit more structure. A rolled hem is stretchier, while the bias tape hem will help hold a garments structure so it doesn’t stretch to hell and back.

i thought the bleach pants thing looked awesome, and i had a pair of black pant that i wanted to try it on, along with add some rips in them. i had thought that since black pants, they would have silver threads, as all my other black pants did. i also thought the bleach would just turn it silver but i didnt have the same bleach you guys had. i poured water out of a spray bottle and poured bleach detergent in it. did not delude it with water, just straight up bleach. i went out to spray it, my goal and look for the pants in mind. but once the bleach started drying it wasnt silver.. IT WAS GOLD. now i have lack to gold gradient jeans with rips with black thread (apparently not silver, either). thanks trendy!
