Hello! Do you mind me asking a question? I'd like to know what free (streaming) sites are absolutely illegal to use in Germany and which ones are OK to use? Is there a way I can find that out? And could you name some bigger sites that are legal/illegal? I just moved to Germany not too long ago, so I'm not sure what's fine and what is not. Also, I'm really sorry for bothering you! The video was great!
Half of these are normal and half of them are Germany being Germany...
I am not too certain about Germany but I assume it's the same as the UK, Sweden, and Denmark for this. There's also laws against "hate speech" which is about as vague as you think and allows the imprisonment of 60+ year olds if they say something very misguided on Facebook/the internet.
watched some of your videos , i have a German ID coz i was born there...but i lived my whole life in Jordan coz im originally Arabian by blood... now i was going to go to Germany to continue there....but after being an Arab for a long time...well hahahaha it won't work!! no guns!! can't speak my mind...AND I HAVE TO WEAR A SEATBELT!!! u destroyed my dreams :(
man, weapon licenz?kkkkk ask adolf hitler and the nazis with he obeid this in the past?man?what?germany is crazy,i mean the nazi can have all the guns, but a civil can't have a ''protection gun''?you 2 are very funny, but i like the video when you sad that the swastika is forbiden,i lived 2013/2015 in germany,#get germanaized <3!deutschland!
I've been binging your videos today, I came across your channel a few hours ago. And I have to say, you changed my mind about Germans, and made me interested in learning the language and visiting your beautiful country. Thank you, from America.
Regarding the swastika law: Does it take into account context; for example, as a scholar of ancient cultures, would the book I am writing be banned or censored in some way for publishing ancient or modern artistic renderings when discussing the symbolism of the swastika in antiquity and other Indo-European cultures?
What is a Whafferstein? You cannot buy a gun at a grocery store in the USA but maybe some sporting goods stores sell some food like for "the trail" or there are BIG stores that sell everything and that might have groceries and a sporting goods department, like Wal Mart and/or K Mart. I think some of the German laws seem quite strict while others are lenient. I guess we have to appreciate the different cultures. Have a nice day!
I think number 5 is wrong , you can possess something with nazi symbols but you can't sell it. For example i can buy the normal version of wolfenstein outside germany and then move to germany and play it but the company cannot sell the international version in germany.
Mein Freund I am in NY, and I can't even get a bb gun legally LOL so it varies from state to state, each state has separate gunlaws and enforces them differently. Another thing to note that in America laws are not enforced by the govt... but according to the states and representatives of these states.. a president can propose a bill it only becomes the law of the land if the house of representatives, the senate, the federal and supreme courts approve this bill...the president can Veto a bill but the Veto can be denied... by the supreme court... thereby granting the president with limited power and the govt remains small for that reason and prevents tyranny. The constitution of the United States grants all citizens regardless of skin color, religion, sexual orientation, or ethnicity equal rights... 1st amendment protects free speech, individual human rights and self expression, the 2nd amendment protects the right to bear arms and the right to defend itself against tyranny or any govt based on tyranny and oppression.
Sadly, now that we are Trumposlavia, it's quite OK to display the swastika and the "confederate" flag, which means the same thing. It's also OK now to punish the children of immigrants. We are in a dark place. Send help!
Richard Lawson omg the cucking is real the confederates gave the blacks equal treatment in their army lol and as for the nazis please explain the indian, african and muslim ss divisons if they where so racist and also the transfer agreement while your at it.
I am so thankful I watched this video! I am off to Germany shortly to teach and were unaware of some of these laws. In Australia, young Aussies love going down to the local cemetery to - as we call it - "look for buried treasure". We do it respectfully. All bones should be returned to the grave etc. As a Buddhist I do have jackets and robes with a Hakenkreuz flag on it, is that a problem? I would love to go and visit Poland via Treblinka. I am doing a story on the historic train station as a correspondent from Press-TV. I will be staying with my friend Wolfgang while I am there and good news, he said I can go hunting with him. I can use a semi-automatic and a handgun and don't need a WBK. Woohoo
LOL it's funny how Germans are arresting others for denying their (Germans) crime. Holocaust denials is a crime in many countries. Why would I want to deny the crime that was committed by German. I say It is true and German government should pay for it lol.
No seriously, I think this is self guilty crime. Now my question is when can we bring German government in front of Justice of International court?
Well if you lool into the evidence of it all the offical narrative falls apart pretty quickly or at the very least has alot of holes in it. And secondly because germany is not a sovereign nation. Because of the marshall plan. And while your at it look at the transfer agreement to please.
I'm From Texhoma U.S.A. here in Germany. Some of the laws and others red tape are a pain in the butt, however I can see where its benifet. Like the helmet law. Tax payers in America don't realize how much they pay out to insurance, medical etc. Because of other peoples accidents. I love the hunting and fishing laws. Each must pay, join clubs, and take tests. You don't see lines, hooks, bait containers every where. People aren't going on other people areas, getting drunk and shooting up wild life and themselves. Most people in U.S. don't do these things but I only takes a handful to mess it up for everyone
America could definitely learn a few things especially about displaying offensive even hurtful symbols like the ugly confederate flag. I cannot even think of an equivalent that a non-white person would use to antagonize someone different from them.
We also have seatbelt laws. Absolutely all children belted - child seat below a certain age/size. Only ones not legally required to be belted are adults in the rear seating area. It is against the law to do many things with corpses here. It's illegal to cut up a body, bury it (in secret) and so forth even if you did not kill the person. In order to buy a gun here in America, you go to a store that sells guns and then you fill out paperwork asking if you have ever been committed to a mental institution or committed any serious crime (felony level). Then, they phone the FBI clearing telephone center and run all your information and do a background check on you. If you pass that, then you may purchase the firearm. Some states have additional laws about mandatory waiting period of 3 days or so between purchase and receiving the gun.
You have to go at least one year to preschool, after that you go four years to an elemantary school and than there are three options.
The best english translations for them would be: 1. secondary school, 2. junior high, 3. grammar school.
1. The secondary school is the basic one where you are five years and reach a qualified certificate or not, depending on your marks. Then you go and make an apprenticeship, during this time you visit a vocational school, which usually takes place for three years.
2. At the junior high its pretty much the same but you have to specialize yourself in the second year. Also the junior high lasts six years instead of five and is more complicated. After that you can make an apprenticeship as well (where you also have to go to a vocational school). But there is another way for you, you can go to differnt types of schools where you can reach your entrance diploma for college or universities.
3. At the grammar school you have many options to choose from, they all lead to a general entrance certificate for the university and for colleges. But you have to lern at least a second foreign leanguage. The grammar school takes place over nine years.
But please dont think that german „college“ has something to do with the american ones, its completely different. Its like on universities but more related to practice. Also the time you spend there is varying, depending on what you‘re studying, same as on universities.
I really don't get the whole "Queen" thing. Ok, I get it, you have some strange issues with Merkel...but mate, its not like she can force people to vote for her, let alone vote her party, let alone potential coaillitions.
Poorly put together!
the mandatory school years are 9/10 depending on federal state(!) plus some years (1-3) professional (job) school years if under the age of 18. ... 10 and 12/13 are the years needed for two basic graduation types. Graduating is not mandatory, the federal laws are about attending school and of course allow exceptions for special needs (but not something stupid like religion).
gun laws are very restrictive (thankfully) with screenign of personality etc., but there are levels to a gun permit, low ones for hunters or sports marksman (where guns only can be transported in public with locked away munition) and with the highest allowing even concealed carrying ... but this is only granted for person in real high risk circumstances and the constant need to defend themself, while no practical alternative like building security etc. exists ... being under clear threat of criminals or having a job like guard or transportation of high values, but those cases really have to be harsh and high risk ... a vague excuse like common robbery wont do, especially since in germany even our criminals are not as mad/dumb as the US citizen.
Do not be a tombraider .. srlsy, why is that singled out?! .. thats common sense in all civilized nations and certainly against the law in most. Dumb point. ... what you guys might refer to with "do not disturb the Totenruhe" apart from graverobbery is the Municipal Code of cemeteries, which ban disturbing acts from those areas (parties, games etc.), these are not laws but codes ending up in fines if you break them and seriously just a common form of respect you find around the world in similar form.
As for swastika and other banned symbols ... its not an absolute law, whats allowed or not depends upon context. Education, satire, time historical reporting, art and science ... a lot of fields allow the showing of such symbols, as long as it isnt in a context advertising / trying to excuse these criminal ideals, organisations etc.
... overall not surprising US americans would find those laws/rules strange, but its obvious how fucked up a nation becomes if you dont have them. Especially the german laws considering school and guns would catapult the US out of their darkages of inequality and mass idiocy/murder.
The bann of symbols could be a problem when a corrupt government misuses them, but since US masses are too easily manipulated by extremist propaganda and are too easily adapting violent ideologies, it would be a good start to fight extremism by fighting its exploitation of the freedom of speech. The idea and theory of freedom of speech is great, but especially the US have proven that it failed and backfired ... the widespread racism, glorification of violence, religious extremism, antigay hatespeech etc. ... clearly the US suffers from unregulated free speech and could benefit greatly from more restriction similar to what most other western nations have.
Question about home schooling. I'm mostly AGAINST homeschooling... But what if your child can't go to school. Some kids are home bound and they can't go to cool as in where they study things. What would happen then.
I saw a video of an underage boy try to buy anything but guns (alcohol, cigarettes, scratch off lottery tickets and so on) without any luck but he just walked into a gun show and bought a rifle and bullets no problem. I'd say that's pretty lax ^^
We have free speech in Germany. But with every right, also comes responsibilities. I hope I translate it correct: "Freedom of expression stops just where other people are threatened, defamed or even attacked" or "The Free speech stops there, wo the right of another person begin".
While its pretty silly to deny the holocaust altogether there is some evidence that the 6 million figure they got is not exactly accurate. Im in no way trying to defend Hitler or anything he did and yes he committed terrible atrocities that violates international war crime laws. Im just saying that the 6 million figure was originally about Jews in Russia during the bolshevik revolution and for some reason the number 6 million was just transfered over. Im actually quite perplexed about the issue myself. There are a number of news articles you can go back and read dating all the way back to the late 1800’s talking about how 6 million Jews were in danger of losing their lives in Russia. Either its a huge coincidence or they didnt bother to actually figure out how many Jews were really killed and just kept the 6 million number.
I'm a historical reenactor and I saw the photos with reenactors from Germany, I was wondered that they don't use swastika on their insignia. In Russia we also can't demonstrate swastika, but we able to use it in cultural events or something like it. In historical reenacment, museums, movies and other.
Interesting. I'm not aware of the reenactment scene in Germany. Well, I suppose there are loads of local traditions which I guess can be considered reenactment, but they tend to focus on older things, Middle Ages and Early Modern History. I would assume that the ban on Nazi symbols would not be allowed for that kind of stuff, I would be very surprised.
That is a great shirt, Tool is awesome. I will be in Germany when I'm more fluent with Deutsch & I have a friend their so waiting for me. I'm getting my Bachelor's here in America (Chemical Engineering, yes one of the biggest stereotypes in Germany is that there all Engineers of some sort 😪) before I come over, do. I need anything higher for better jobs or is that pretty accurate for what I need?
Hey do you know if I can photograph random people in the street (I know some can get very angry if they see you but even if they don’t realize I’m taking a photo?) I’m living in Germany for a year and I like street photography so I need to know this before I get sued 😂😂😂
Seat belts USA also
No Home School lets the government keep the brain washing on going
Holocaust it happened why deny. The USA is the only country that has FREE SPEECH
Grave robbing is also forbidden here
Swastika good idea but once again back to the 1st amendment
2nd amendment another good law we have.
Noel Fee deny the past? Hmm well the holocaust is the most contreversial thing in history.. so i think not allowing people to look into it and debate it seeing how much evidence both sides has its rather suspicous as if they are trying to cover up something..
