Sharing a TON of tips to help you hide your tummy with help from my friend, Kelli! We mostly used Kelli’s clothes. I brought a few pieces, which I listed below. I am standing on my toes through some of this video because I was worried about lighting and framing as I wasn’t wearing shoes and Kelli is so tall, and was in heels. Technical reasons. Thank you so much for watching. Your support means the world to me! ~Erin xo

Thank you so much for not only the content, but the delivery as well! I am 53 years old and I just want to look and feel good and the video made it simple
and friendly without pretentiousness! Thank you ladies_ I'm going to watch more!
One more tip.. POSTURE. Standing straight makes holding your tummy in easier. And one more... get fitted for a good bra. A good bra and good posture can take away a lot of belly. I learned that the hard way.
GLASSES + EARRINGS?? 😲
Are there any secrets or rules when a person wears glasses and wearing earrings? Are we just SOL or restricted to stud only earrings? Glasses + Earrings + Dark Lipstick = Disaster 😜
Frieda Schnell It depends on whether that dark side of lipstick is appropriate for your colouring and skin tone, and if possible the style of glasses is not too out there (loud color/print and/or oversized). Longer earrings look fantastic on longer hair lengths. The longer the hair, the longer the earring can be!
In order to avoid developing a muffin top, you must engage your abdominal muscles at all times, sitting or standing. To just let your gut hang out all the time doesn't look good, it's bad posture, it results in a bigger belly over time, and it also is bad for your heart. For those people whose mothers didn't teach them this growing up, if you are standing or sitting with company, you should always engage your abs.
The kimono style top does really make her waist look tiny. I will have to try this one... I don't like short sleeves though but it I could wear fuller long sleeves, like the traditional long sleeve on a kimono... I would wear them.
I love, love, LOVE peplum tops but they are so hard to find. Wish they'd come back in style big time! It seems there are two types of tummy problems. One is the waist/abdomen area; the other is the hip/belly area. But I think these tips would work for both, except maybe #11.
Well done -- very informative! Do you know about Ruby Ribbon camis and shapewear? Variable compression so you never feel squeezed; gripper edge holds it in place, and fabric that wicks moisture away from your body. I used to wear Spanx but have totally switched. Let me know if you want my Facebook business page. Thanks and keep up the great work!
You need to practice what you teach.if you are uncomfortable with your height but you're telling us to be comfortable with their tummies... so you can stand on your tippy-toes to film YouTube video.... Your total contradiction I'm not criticizing you as a person just not sure that I'm comfortable with your Channel.
Brenda Davis Sounds to me you have an apple shape. V neck tops always look best on busty ladies. low necklines are very slimming on them. Avoid any visual clutter up top and high necklines. To conceal your tummy and other problem areas I would wear something that skims over that area versus tight and fitted. That's why long line cardigans work great because they give instant coverage. Remember garments come in different weights, so choose thin unlined garments for summer and just do the opposite for cold weather conditions. Belts don't work at all you. Your body shape carries weight on the top half but on the other hand your lower half is slim. They often have really nice slim legs. Show those off! Skinny jeans, leggings, shorter skirts, shorts...
We are very thankful for the model donating her time and all and for your hard work explaining. However, the model did not have a tummy. Many to you since you are so skinny but, to the majority of us out here we would kill for her shape! We are dealing with being short and fat... round, big boobs and big tummies. We need to see a model that represents what the majority of women are facing these days. Yes, we get the jest of it all, which is helpful but, it is still a whole lot more helpful to be able to see it rather than trying to imagine it all. Thank you.
Looking for tummy hiding tips. due to a medical issue I have constant large gut. I can not wear spanx or shape wear due to the discomfort they cause me. I can not tolerate a bra either . Would love good ideas to feel pretty again. Some covered here I have tried, please give more.
It's really important to find what works best for your body. I'd suggest trying these out and seeing if you think they work for you! I'm also planning on doing videos for every body type I can so stay tuned! I just did a video for petites that you can find here: https://youtu.be/JyguWQRWxdE Those tips might also help you! Thanks so much for watching, Amanda! Erin xo
Um, I appreciate the video, but your model is beautiful and barely has a stomach! I would love a video with a model who really is "bigger" in the middle. Most of these would look horrible on me. And ps. They don't make high waist jeans for petite women with large bellies and small legs.
parent-alerte l thought it looked quite good on her in principle because she's not exactly a spring chicken anymore. If she wore that outfit instead of mourning black I'm sure you wouldn't make the Grand mother association. I am also predicting modest dressing is on the rise with the new found popularity of the Maxi skirt. Long hemlines are in for good.
Thanks so much for sharing all these tips. You are both a treat! I live in kaftans in the warmer seasons, and haven't worn conventional dresses for years, except empire line style, but I definitely need to go clothes shopping and this will really help.
These are great ideas but what tricks do you have for women who have pouch stomachs? The upper tummy is not the problem but rather the bottom of the stomach that wraps around your front like an apron.... some people call them pouches and some people call them aprons. Women of all sizes can have them.
Thanks so your suggestions.
Finally, we can see a wonderful tutorial, well edited, clearly explained and showing practical examples of the right clothing for hiding the tummy, thanks so much, you are a delight😇😄😍👍 BiBi - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Ummm... so many of these tipsdo not work for me. I think Kelly looked good no matter what, because frankly she might feel insecure about her middle area, but it is NOT a problem like it is for some of us, for me.
Celita D. P. I agree that belts are not for everyone. I think I mentioned Kelly wearing it lower on hips? I can’t recall exact wording. Flowy tunics, blouses, wrap-front tops with tailored pants and jeans will likely be great options. I suggest trying a few combinations, taking pictures in the mirror and then deciding from photos which combos are most flattering for you. Unfortunately there is no one size fits all approach to dressing, but I am hoping there might be nuggets of helpful style info to help!
Busbee Style Thank you... I wonder if some shapes are best NOT using a belt? Are there ways to add style WITHOUT a belt??? Belts seem to accentuate my problem area rather than help. Even empire styles now accentuate... gets discouraging...
Know anyone? It’s not easy to get volunteers who will go on camera knowing we are we talking about tummy control. 😉 and it’s certainly not easy to broach someone, hey... you have a tummy, how about we shoot a video together!! 🤦🏼♀️
Kelly is taller than you but if that is what you call a tummy you should go check out what a tummy is. Use someone that has a tummy and then see if you will be able to hide it. If you got somebody that is 1.64 meters tall (5feet 4) and weighs 96 kilo's (212 pnds) with all the weight aroud the stomach and belly area! Than let me see you try your ideas on that person. You would be the first one in the world ro tackle this!!!
