Le résultat ressemble à de la merde.

The guy who is "recreating" Guy's photo is clueless about photography and lighting in general. First, most of Guy's backgrounds were walls painted with gloss or semi-gloss paint, that reflected the lighting, in the case of the photograph he is recreating, it was a single head with a small reflector aimed straight at the model, probably using a grid to focus the light. The light used in the shoot is too close to the model , which is why the lighting doesn't look the same.

that modern version of the original looks so stupid and technically washed out. and the girl's left leg is not straight and looks ungraceful

this is so stupid. why are we seeing these two dumb men constantly joking about somethimg so serious. we keep seeing them again and again and again. i think the viewers want to see the photos not those two dumb grumpy old men.

I have known G B 's work and appreciated it immensely then, that said I think your work is far far away from the feeling it still emanates: great miscast of the model and uncomfortable "now" styling!

Close, but not really. Missing the lighting finesse and the grace of the original model (look at the feet!).

The glaze on the wall is crucial and the spacial relation as well. Since it's all about Daphne's legs in which the original it was more than that, and the fact that the replication has the model wearing red tights also makes an impact. (Guy had a objectifying nature to his images and made a lot of them feel more exposed and sexualizdd
