In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of http://www.iamalpham.com http://www.aaronmarino.com and http://www.peteandpedro.com,
talks about the different types of men's hats and how to wear them. Men's hats are a cool way to add interest and dimension to an outfit.
Up until the late 1960s, men wore hats. Aaron Marino of alpha m. gives examples from TV (Boardwalk Empire and Mad Men) as well as celebrities. For the last 40 years, the predominate hat has been the baseball cap. Well, classic men's hats are back in a big way. Men are paying attention to their entire outfit with the devil being in the details, and men are dressing with purpose.
Men can add depth and dimension to an outfit as well as elevate their style to the next level by trying new and different things like hats. Alpha is not a hat guy. He explains that he has ears to contend with. You will only know if you're a hat guy if you try and experiment. Alpha displays how hats can take an outfit from 'good to great' after discussing how to style the following:
Types of Hats
Derby or bowler
Some of those first pictures of “fedoras” are actually Trilbies. The Trilby is a much shorter brimmed hat, typically 2 inches or less. Most fedoras have brims of at least 2 1/4 inches, and the classic fedora, like Humphrey Bogart wears, has a brim of 2 1/2 inches.
The hat is too big for you and with a turned up brim. You would do best in a fitted flat cap such as a six sided duckbill if your going to ear ring it. How do I know this ? I shoot pics of models of both sexes for a well know mag. Try one on fitted for you....So mote it be.
There's also kind of a stigma against hats that you didn't really mention. I'm a bigger guy. So, of course, as a bigger guy I wear a beard to cover up my double chin. So, if I were to wear a fedora, then I'd run the risk of looking like a fedora wearing nerd. This guy. https://www.smashpansy.com/products/euphoric-gentlesir-body-pillow-cover
I was wondering if you had any advice on where to buy a hat, baseball and flatcap, for men with small heads. Obviously, there will be different websites. There are many for baseball caps, but when it comes to flatcaps I had found one that catered toward the shorter smaller head man, Goorin Brothers. They used to have a XS size, but they have since discontinued the size. Any idea where I could find flat caps or some other styles they have from another company for smaller sized head men.
I began wearing an English Bowler before most of you were alive (1975). I was 20. I wear all kinds of hats, but no Trilbies. I wear either a Bowler, Fedora, Homburg or Panama hat. The Bowler is my trademark and has been for 43 years. Believe me, a sports jacket, slacks, dress shirt and a nice pair of dress shoes make a man look good. NEVER dress like a wannabee "hipster". That is a trashy look that no one wants to see.
Hi man I'm Dr. Victor from India, your videos are just awesome guy, you are very informative i would like to thank you for making your channel. I want to ask you a help regarding my hair style which one to keep,? Hote can you help me? Do reply bye tc
